List of Northside Neurology's Reviews
Where to begin with this review. These are some of the rudest most useless people I have ever dealt with and that is saying a lot considering I’ve been to MANY doctors offices. Melissa honey (if you even gave me a real name), you need an attitude adjustment all you do is answer phones try to be a little better at it you’re not that important. It is next to impossible to get a hold of them let alone make an appointment. Honestly just do yourself a favor and go to Lakeside Neurology or somewhere else. I literally just called to see for myself and I got all I needed. The negative reviews are accurate.
My mom and I give *****5***** to her neurology practitioners at Northside Neurology. Thank you for caring for my mom.
Do not go here. These people are nasty and unaccommodating. Doctor refused to see me because I was "late", when in fact I arrived on time.
I have never written a negative review about a doctor however today I arrived a few minutes early for my 1130 appointment. I was told on arrival I was late and should have been 30 minutes early. I explained I had some challenges finding the building but would still like the opportunity to been seen as had driven an hour and had already waited several weeks for the appointment and was not actually late. The receptionist walked back and talked to the doctor for about 1 minute before she came back and said I would need to reschedule. I explained i was having some significant health issues and needed to be seen by somone asap. I asked her to help me understand why the 30 minute window was necessary as not only did I have my paperwork complete I also had a complete bio/psycho/social background report typed up. While I was holding back tears she kept insisting it was policy and tried to reachedule me for the following week. At that point I was crying and I just let her know I wouldnt be rescheduling as I needed to see somone asap. I went straight from thier office to northside urgent care who sent me straight to the emergency room where I was immediatly admitted.
KRISTA the receptionist needs to calm down with her attitude when someone calls to request something from other offices. there are ways of talking to people ma'm.. be more professional it makes your office look very unprofessional dr. Cooper
Unprofessional...slow...only value their time!!
The worst experience ever. The office staff is awful and they do not return calls. I have been calling for 3 weeks now for the Dr to correct a referral for my sleep study. 3 weeks and I call everyday. No sense of urgency at all. Will never go back! Don’t go here. Explains why they only have 2 stars!
My experience with Dr. Cooper and his staff was fantastic! I wasn't sure what to think after scheduling an appointment, then at the last minute reading yelp reviews. From the first phone inquiry, top notch. I'm having issues with my hands after 28 years as a professional auto mechanic, and was given a referral order for an EMG study. I'm self-pay because it's cheaper to save and pay up front than insurance premiums at my age. My referral care facility quoted $2440 for the procedure!! That's more expensive than the surgery. I started calling around, came across Northside Neurology, and was immediately impressed with my first conversation. The estimate was FAR less, appointment was scheduled- 3 weeks out. I asked to be notified if there were any cancellations, and was rescheduled 9 days sooner. I arrived 45 minutes early, and was taken in before I could finish the paperwork. Everyone was pleasant and professional, the tests were performed efficiently and the final price was less than the original estimate! I will say that the nerve stimulation test is uncomfortable with electrical impulses, but that's the nature of the test. The needle pricks were less invasive than my daily play with our cats. Dr. Cooper is knowledgeable and friendly and truly seemed to care. 5 Stars.
I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes late. They told me I was too late and that I needed to reschedule. Never mind that I normally wait 45 minutes when I get here to see the doctor. Never mind that I drove an hour to get here and had to leave work. I explained that to the receptionist and she was rude to me in front of everyone. If you read the reviews there is a reason why this place has 2.5 stars. I recommend if you need a neurologist to go ANYWHERE but here.
I'm very dubious of some of these other reviews that claim that patients are waiting a long time or that the staff is not caring about the patient's needs. My son has been patient here for over a year. Not once have we had to wait more than 15 to 20 minutes after our appointment time. The vast majority of the time we are within the doctor's office within 10 minutes. The office staff has been quite attentive to our needs and Doctor Cooper is quite on point. As for the review that was complaining about being 10 minutes late on the first visit and needing to be rescheduled, in what universe in the 2000s does one not have to fill out a multitude of forms on your first visit? It was the reviewer's fault and the reviewer refuses to accept responsibility for his / her own actions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
