List of Citra Urgent Care's Reviews
very disappointing urgent care visit 12/26/2022 at Preston/Frankfort location. wife was quite ill with severe bronchitis (clinically). Dr. ran tests (covid, flu, rsv) and did chest x-ray. We were told clinic would call with results and then call out Rx. NOBODY from the clinic ever called, text or emailed diagnosis or test results or informed us they were sending Rx to pharmacy and what the meds were and for what reason they were being prescribed. fortunately pharmacy texted that we had new Rx. as a retired physician I was able to let my wife know what meds were for and to make certain they were taken correctly. in my 42 years as a family physician I never treated patients in such a callous and indifferent and incompetent manner
Flu season is back and the weather got cold and I got sick. I decided to go to Citra and I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. The nurse practitioner was useless , and gave me nothing to help my extremely bad cough and sore throat. I would not recommend this place if you need a kind and professional doctor's opinion.
Stay away... I went there with an extremely bad cough , hoping to get something to help , however The nurse practitioner was rude and told me I was frustrating him when I asked basic medical questions. They are absolutely useless here, stay away. There are so many better places with much kinder and more concerning doctors.
I had a great visit! I went in with an acute allergic reaction and was out in less than an hour. Very clean facility, nice front desk person, and great staff in the back. Jonathan was my FNP and he was excellent! I am so glad that I chose this clinic today! I have been an FNP/professor for nearly 23 years and am a program director, so I pay attention to provider detail and examination. TWU should be very proud of Jonathan to have been their student, and Citra for being an excellent FNP! Well done!
0 stars if I could, never going back even though this is the closest Urgent Care. The front desk girl (pretty, petite black girl) was the only one that smiled and was nice the entire time I was there. Even gave crayons and coloring pad to my child and seemed genuinely happy when she informed me that I didn't have a copay. The initial nurse that came in to get my symptoms didn't know what she was doing, took down all my symptoms just for me to have to repeat it all to the rude white male provider (the bald one, since there's a few). I received a Covid test after them asking a couple times if I wanted one and was told I'd have the results in a couple minutes. I left an hour later almost forgetting they didn't give it to me and asking what the result was and the inept nurse shouted across the way that it was negative and if I wanted the paperwork. Isn't that a HIPAA violation on top of being unprofessional? I was also shocked that after my main initial concern walking in was that I may faint and don't want my child to be alone in the unfortunate event I do so, they took me to a room that had the flat beds you have at a normal doctor's office; not a hospital bed. After an hour of sitting up (holding myself up so I don't fall and tip over), I asked if the back of the chair came up to which the provider had a difficult time adjusting it so it stayed. I later had to call a nurse in to pull the leg part out after I tried and failed numerous times. From the initial interaction with the white male provider, he was so rude and not hospitable what-so-ever which made me so uneasy and having to stress and become mad on top of my long list of symptoms I was experiencing. I had to tell them how to treat me, tell them what to prescribe, I mean these people would make no difference if you switched them out with a body.Edit: I ended up finding out I had stomach inflammation (gastritis/GERD) which causes an excess of stomach acid and can be caused by eating too many spicy foods, so I should have at least been tested for H Pylori (a bacterial infection of the stomach that needs antibiotics). Not a virus like the Dr here suggested. I mentioned the symptom of constant burping, acid reflux, vomiting, constipation and that I thought I had food poisoning from the spicy corn I had eaten. The constant burping alone should have triggered a GI issue and could have at the least referred me to a gastroenterologist.
I came in today for a COVID test. Over the phone I was told it would be 150$ but when they realized it would be 2 test for my sister too they said it would be 250 each. This is berry wrong I came in felling un well and out disappointed in how they where unable to communicate with us and make us look dumb. Please be careful before coming in here and getting everything done and walking out with a bill double what was agreed on before.
Burch, L, a Nurse Practitioner at 18101 Preston rd. is God sent. She was able to treat my covid-flu like symptoms within hours after being sick for 5 days. I had taken my son ER a week prior with similar symptoms and they never gave my son a definitive treatment. All they did was to give him IV fluids for a day- overnight, then discharged him with Tonnes of bills. Now a week later, my son is still sick and i am now planning to take him to Burch, L as a new patient. I believe I contracted my respiratory infection from my son. No long waiting periods at this urgent care. Tests and examinations were done super-fast. she did not hesitate to reexplain her treatment plans over again. She surely is God sent.
So very impressed! Our family of 6 just got in and out with on-site PCR tests in less than 30 minutes. They even made it fun! Thank you to Valencia, Keana, Kadaisha, Nesha and Caje for actually making this travel requirement a fun part of the new travel experience. Highly recommend!
Adding another review on 25 Mar 2022Terrible service. The staff was rude and a simple COVID testing receipt required multiple follow ups and I finally got it after a week. For $279 to do a simple test and such terrible service with a rude front desk staff, this urgent care is only motivated to mint money. The owner Nick Karr needs to reduce money motivation and focus on providing customer service if you want people to pay so much money
Terrible service. I went for a simple PCR test. Despite having an appointment in place it took an hour to get a simple PCR test done. I was promised results in an hour but I got it in the evening and that too I had to call multiple times. The worst of all is the front desk staff - super rude as if they are doing me a favor. The printer went out and the lady rudely asked me to come back for a receipt.. after I raised my voice she said she will email but it's been a day and I still don't have it. All of this terrible service costs $279 -- really!! ... this place is looting people and a very unprofessional urgent care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
