List of Leon D. Rosenthal's Reviews
Dr. Leon Rosenthal has been my personal Sleep Doctor for 10+ years. He is one of the BEST in NTX. Sadly he is retiring from his daily practice as part of SLEEP MEDICINE of Plano, TX. Still expect the same staff to provide excellent care for me in the future, as always. Thank you, Dr. Rosenthal for your genuine caring manner. John & Kathy Reyes
Dr is great …. Follow up is not ! I was supposed to have a sleep study order for me at Baylor Scott And White Plano ? That was about three weeks ago and nothings been done so far today is June 1 see how it goes?
Responsive , friendly and competent staff and Dr .
Amanda2 shone brightest among the many bright stars at Sleep Medicine Associates. Everyone I encountered was competent, professional, courteous, patient and experienced in treating sleep disorders. Thanks!
Dr. Rosenthal's main aim is to control patients' sleep apnea. I have been on my CPAP for about five years now and the first couple of years, I saw him several times a year until he felt like I was adjusted to my CPAP. Now I am in maintenance and see the doctor once a year.
Absolutely the worst. Tried several times to call to schedule sleep study per my cardiologist recommendation. They NEVER answer their phone you can only leave voicemail. Additionally, they never return your call when you leave a voicemail. Moving on... I suggest you do the same.
He has a nice staff, that's all. Wouldn't advise going to him.
Really disappointed; hope that no one has to experience the same poor quality of care. Not helpful at all.
I was completely taken aback after meeting with this doctor. After describing to him all of my different sleeping issues I have been dealing with, his first question was, well why aren't you sleeping? My response was, well that is why I came to you, so that you could help me figure out what is going on. To his response of, well I don't have a crystal ball so I can't tell you that. He had no method to attempt to help me out, no suggestions on potential tests he could run or varying up my medication. I had informed the office I had a prior sleep study and had my medical records released over a month before my appointment. When I got there, they told me they had never received anything, so they really couldn't help me out. They didn't call me prior to let me know this hadnt come in. I waited for two months in hopes that I could find someone to help me with my problem, I left more confused than I came, wondering exactly what his role is as a sleep specialist since his only advice was that he didn't have a crystal ball. I would seriously reconsider finding a different doctor before going to him. A doctor is supposed to instill hope and make an effort to help, and all he did was ask me to diagnose myself, and before performing or delving into my history, told me he couldn't answer anything because he didn't have a crystal ball.
Dr. Rosenthal is respectful of my time; I rarely wait more than 5 minutes. He is thorough in his investigations and takes in account the costs of treatments and the best way to handle them (insurance considerations). His "bedside" manner is not unfriendly, but it is strictly professional. Yet I can tell that he is caring. His organization - Sleep Medicine - runs their own clinic on-site for overnight sleep studies, and it feels more professional than any I've used before. Sleep studies are such a pain! But this is the best environment I've experienced. See their website at www.sleepmed.com.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
