Tanya Rodgers's Online Review Report Card

I was scheduled for surgery at 10:30. After driving 40 mins to go to the only Black dermatologist I could find, I waited. At 11am I asked the girl at the front desk when will I be seen. She checked and said another 20 mins because the doctor is running behind. Frustrated as i took off work, i waited. I sat and watched 4 people come in, check in and 5 -10 mins later go to the back. After waiting a total of an 1.5 hours I left. Zero customer service. No one should have to wait that long and then pay full price. Avoid this place at all costs.

Dr Rogers was very good, she diagnose my condition right away and put me on a couple of medications, but after a few days on the meds, I broke out with stinging and burning. I called the office to see if I could get my medication changed and still have not heard back after leaving 3 messages. It's so sad and rude to not care about someone who is experiencing pain, burning, itching and stinging, I have never experience a lack of care from a provider in my life like I have with this staff. One simple phone call to change my medication and give instructions on the next steps is not so hard, just a few minutes on the phone is all I am needing. I now will have to seek another Dr. to help resolve my problem since I cannot get this problem resolved. I'm very disappointed and feel like I have been scammed.

Scam!!! I called to find out how much it would costs to remove skin tags and they said, the cash price without insurance will be $175 for 15 skin tags. I have about 17 and ONLY two are really considered skin tags, the rest are very tiny like a pin point.When I came in for my appt, she asked for my insurance card and I asked why because my ins co would probably not pay. She said you never know and asked for payment of $125 for my visit. (So I’m thinking maybe the $175 was discounted with my insurance).I saw the Christine Alexander PA and she could hardly see the ones on my face, only under magnification, but she told me the cost would be $350 and I asked for only a few tiny more and she did yes. I then asked what did I pay for and she told me that was for the doctor/office visit and I told her on the phone she never told me I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL $125. She only said $175. I told her I called and compared a few places and that this was not full disclosure to tell me one price and then after I was seen that there would be another fee!She was not friendly nor warm.Ridiculous!!! Do they need money that bad?

I was never able to even see Dr. Rodgers and I’m sure she is excellent but her staff is mean and rude and very unconcerned about the patient. I actually witnessed the staff tell a man to leave and reschedule because he didn’t have a mask. They told him they didn’t have one for patients to use. Every time I visited the co-pay was higher and I was charged for a procedure that I had done with no warning . I had the procedure done in Cleveland, Ohio a couple months ago and the doctor cleared it with my insurance prior to the treatment but they didn’t do that here just gave me the bill. The front desk staff are mean and nasty they act like they want you to never come back. The staff once you go back to be seen they are really nice. I will never met the doctor because I refuse to go pay people to treat me like garbage. I will take my money somewhere else.

I saw the PA Christine Alexander the year before last. I found their office, after searching for a dermatologist that my insurance accepted. Dr, Rodgers was unavailable, so I saw the PA and she was perfectly fine. That said, this office is horribly run! They are awful and not accommodating. I tried to make an appointment last year to have skin tags removed and they refused to tell me what it would cost, with out seeing me first. I was told that I would have to pay to make an appt for them to look at me and THEN I would have to schedule a subsequent appt to address the skin tags - so I would have to pay twice and wait quite awhile to address the skins tags. It just wasn't worth it. I just decided to do nothing because dealing with them was so aggravating. I called there today to schedule an appt and the receptionist was brusque and unhelpful. It reminded me how it was last year. I looked up other dermatologists on my plan, made a couple of phone calls and reached one that was incredibly polite and helpful and it reminded me that there is no point going to a Dr, whose office is poorly run. I don't have any issue with the Drs, but what's the point of going to an office that is so unpleasant to deal with?

My visit went well. The prescription provided helped for awhile. As regular (not new) patient when I experienced another flare up with my skin, her staff did not try to find a way for me to be seen sooner than the end of March or even virtual. When I spoke with the nurse about having the prescription used sent to the pharmacy due the severity of my skin's condition, she refused stating that I would have to be seen but she gave me the name of the cream. What am I suppose to do with name of the cream? Write it on my skin for healing? This is certainly poor service with no concern of going above & beyond to assist a patient. I will be seeking another physician.

Highly recommended she is an exceptional derm. I havnt had clear skin in over 6 years and I tried everything. I went to her and she put me on one tablet, a night cream and a day cream and my skin was clear in 6 weeks. I've been to over 8 derms including dr. Blackburn and trinity dermatology in Carrollton. No one could help but her she is exceptional

I started seeing Dr. Rodgers in October 2018 for extreme hair loss (i.e. baldness) in the crown of my head resulting from numerous relaxers, dyes, thyroid medication, and removal of a quick weave. During my initial consultation, Dr. Rodgers was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She advised me on the recommended treatment but was very honest to indicate the treatment for hair growth was no guarantee, it was dependent on my hair follicles. I appreciated her honesty; I decided to take the risk and proceeded with the treatments. Fast forward 6 months, I am rocking a full head of beautiful natural grey hair and I am LOVING it! I have sent 3 of my friends to Dr. Rodgers and they are seeing the same results with hair growth. Thank you, Dr. Rodgers!

Dr. Rodgers allows her physician’s assistants who are neither doctors nor MDs see patients, without her supervision, but charges the patients MD rates. Avoid this fraud at all costs.
