She takes care of our whole family. I just wish she wasnt so busy.
When my son was born he weighed 9.6 oz. I noticed pretty quickly he was a fussy baby. Nothing like my first born. He didnt eat very well. I had to keep waking him up to eat. And if I kept trying to get him to eat he would spit it back up. That was also unusal bc my daugher hardly ever spit up. I thought the milk based formula might have been making his stomach upset so his formula got switched to soy based formula which didnt help. But other than being fussy he was doing fine and gaing weight and we got to be released and go home. once at home he was still fussy and still didn't seem to be eating good it would take hime 45 mins to eat only 4oz of milk and you had to keep waking him up to eat. One week later we went to Dr Brown for his one week check up. My son had lost 2 or 3 pounds. Dr Brown was concerned and admited him to the hospital. (which was the right thing to do) But whe only admited him for OBSERVATION. No blood work was done no urine sample or NOTHING. We stayed at the Gordan Hospital 3 days. On the fourth day my son had gained back to his birth weight and Dr Brown said "You have make him eat, Just keep waking him Up, "BUT IF HE CONTINUES TO FAIL TO THRIEVE I'LL HAVE TO REPORT YOU TO DFS" She also wonted to see up back in her office. Me and my husband told her we would bring our son back for a recheck but then we were switching pediatrician's. she said to ahead and take him for a recheck with the other pediatrician. This really upset me. I already had one child. I know how to take care of my baby and I was feeding my child I wasnt Starving him. I think any mother would be mad if someone threatened to report them to DFS. My daughter goes to Peds Care in Dalton. This is bc I live in Chatsworth My OBGYN deliverd at Dalton Then my OBGYN moved her practice to Gordan So my son was born at Gordan. Peds Care didnt come to Gordan so I took the pediatrician on call which was Dr Brown. I made an appointment with Peds Care Since they had never seen him before and he was still a newborn they done a newborn check up on him. Dr Yelugapuri was the Dr my son saw. His weight was checked a URINE SAMPLE was takin his heart was listend to eyes ears were checked looked at his mouth and we were sent home. The very next day I recieved a phone call from a nurse saying my 3wk on son had a UTI (URINARY TRACT INFECTION) my son was admited to Dalton hospital gave antibotcs through a IV. while admited a ultra sound was ordered to look at his kidney's (UTI"S left untreated can cause permanet kidney damage and even kidney failure) While the ultra sound was done it was noticed he had a large mass. Which ended up being a adreanal hemorrhage. Which is really not as bad as it sounds and should go away on it on. So the point is my son was a SICK BABY. If she thought he needed to be admited to the hospital she should have been running some test and not wasting time. And not acusing me of not taking proper care of her child and threating me about if my son failed to thrieve she would have to report to DFS. My son was sick and not feeling well and this was why he was sooo cranky and not eating good. Once we had a long stay at Dalton hospital and round of antibotics he was a much happier baby. Ate better not fussy he was like a whole new baby. So my opinion of Dr Brown is she's in a big hurray instead of investigating what was going on with my son it was easier to blame the problem on the parents. She was just rude. I would not recomend anyone take their child to her. I will never go to Dr Brown again.
once my son and I were released from the hospital. We had a one week check up with Dr Brown. My son had lost 2 or 3 pounds. Dr Brown admited him to the hospital to observe his feedings. No test were done (such as no blood was takin no urine sample NOTHING) After 3 days of observing his feeding. He almost gained back up to his birth weight.Dr Brown said we could go home just keep making him eat and if he continued to fail to thrive she was going to have to report it to DFS and she wonted to see up back in her office the next day to recheck my son's weight. Report to DFS Really!? This was my second child I new I was doing nothing wrong. So I told her I was taking my son to Peds Care. Thats were my daughter Dr is. Made an appointment with Peds Care my son was checked out.Peds Care Done a Urine Sample Came back he had a(URINARY TRACT INFECTION)This was why my son was so cranky and wasnt eating good.He was admited to he hospital gave antibotics he is better and doing great Would not recommed
she is such a friendly woman and truly cares about the child's needs
Dr. Brown has been my children's pediatrician, as well as, me and my husband's doctor since my oldest was born almost 6 years ago. She was a speaker at the free breastfeeding seminars offered at the hospital during my pregnancy. As a first time mother, I was looking for a pediatrician and we had similar outlooks on several areas such as breastfeeding, pacifiers, etc. Another reason that I was drawn to her was that 3 months prior she had given birth to twin girls and I knew our children would be about the same age, so she would understand what I was going through. She has always been so good with the kids and they love her. My husband's work is unpredictable and we travel a lot. She is always willing to squeeze us in whenever we are in town. Whenever you need an appointment that same day, she is almost always able to get you into see one of her nurse practitioners, which are just as sweet as she is. However, it seems to be getting harder and harder to see Dr. Brown herself in a timely manner. The last time we went, we had an appointment that was scheduled months ahead of time and we had to wait over an hour. It always seems worth the wait once she gets in the room. I guess that's probably part of the reason that she's always running behind. She takes her time to talk to you about not just what problem is concerning you, but what's going on in your life. So many doctors these days are in and out in 5 minutes and you feel like they don't even care. You will never get that treatment from Dr. Brown or anyone else on her staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone has always been friendly.I guess it's just a matter of being willing to wait to get seen by someone who really cares what's going on with her patients. You might be able to get in and out with another doctor faster, but I bet you won't get as good a care!
In the beginning, we loved Dr. Brown. Then like every one else at the practice, they were too busy pushing patients through to give proper care them selves, so Dr. Brown's nurse practitioner was seeing my girls more and more. Emily developed acid reflux and would wake up and vomit through the night. The school was getting out of sorts about it. Emily was seen by the nurse practitioner and given phenergan. She began sleeping through class. Again the school was irate. I finally had to insist on an appointment with Dr. Brown, who diagnosed her correctly. When Emily had a build up of wax in her ears, she again saw the nurse practitioner. I was charged for a surgical procedure, at a doctor's rate, to have the wax scooped out with a cheap plastic loop. When I got the bill I went through the roof and called the practice. I informed them that if this practice was going to continue, we would be leaving the service. After all DR. Brown was paying a Nurse practitioner's wage and charging me a Dr's fee and I was taking all the risk with my child. Answer: Dr. Brown said to tell you that you will be missed. Greedy people don't often show real caring for others. I want better for my kids.
I would never use anyone else!!! She immediately contaced a specialist when a CT Scan showed a small cyst on my daughter's brain. She truly cares about her patients! LOVE HER!!!!
The office of this doctor has been very uncooperative with us. We also felt that this doctor was not willing to find the source of our illnesses and instead just gave us meds to try.
I have never had a problem with Dr. Brown. She is GREAT with my children and my children really like her.
Not really interested in finding causes of illness, just medicates.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
