List of Jane Wilkov's Reviews
Had Dr. Wilkov many years ago and she was an excellent Dr who took care of my daughter who has special needs. She was correct with her diagnosis whenever she was ill and came to the hospital when she was ever admitted . The office visits were pleasant and staff was friendly. I know people can get burned out but Dr. Wilkov is very knowledgeable and caring.
We have been with Dr. Wilcov for years and have always had trustworthy, and thorough explains. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
She refused to order my 7 week old daughter a blood test on her third straight day of running a fever despite the advice of the emergency room physician who saw her the night before. Jane told me that a runny nose and a fever were of the same seriousness in her opinion, therefore she saw no medical reason to order a blood test to rule out the possibility of a bacterial infection. At the time of our conversation my daughter was running another fever.
In person visits may be acceptable/average but their after hours call line (and to be perfectly honest their phone customer service skills) is severely lacking in quality and service. Called multiple times over the course of three days and my experience ranged from being lectured by a doctor on her qualifications and schooling, being brushed aside and the most common...simply not hearing from anyone until a day or so later.

At the time of our conversation my daughter was running another fever. This was Dr. Jane Wilkov’s response after I told her I would file a former complaint with the State medical board : “What are you going to tell them? What do you have on me? Are you going to tell them that you refused to take my medical advice and that I hate black people?” I hope this review and the lack of diversity within the staff at her own practice speaks for itself.

Quick pro tip if your business is to remain successful it would be to your benefit to refer after hours calls to qualified physicians at children’s healthcare of Atlanta or simply pay one or two people whose sole responsibility is to answer the after hours calls (not your full time staff who already worked an eight hour day). One more tip, in my line of work it is never acceptable or productive to disregard the feelings and opinions of the customers that should be even more obvious if you run a healthcare facility for parents and their children. I will be following up with Georgia Composite Medical Board on how to best remedy these situations from occurring again at this facility.
Dr. Wilkov refused to order my daughter a blood culture despite an emergency room doctor's advice. She threw her degree and 35 years of experience in my face. I called the nurses line three times within the last two days regarding my 7 week old daughter's rising fever, each time I was met with a nurse or doctor who was clearly annoyed by my questions. After calling about her rising fever again today I spoke to a nurse, then to Dr. Wilkov. I asked them to order my daughter a blood test so we could ensure she does not have a bacterial infection (per the emergency room doctor's advice). She refused, after some back and forth I asked Dr. Wilkov to explain why she would not order my daughter a blood culture and she said "because she has no medical reason to." I am now at the emergency room (again) and Dr. Wilkov has released me as a patient and told me to find healthcare elsewhere. She openly accused me of not caring for my infant daughter and said "if you don't want to pay a $200 copay for an emergency room, then would you pay $5000 for her medical care?" I asked her to explain that comment but she refused. My infant daughter still has a fever, the nurse at emergency room immediately ordered my daughter a blood culture. I can't help but wonder if Dr. Wilkov assumed I didn't care for my daughter based on her immediate assumptions about me over the phone. I asked Dr. Wilkov how to file a complaint against her practice. She said I would have no success with a complaint against her office. She said "What are you going to tell them? What do you have on me? Are you going to tell them you refused to take my medical advice and tell them that I hate black people?" I have never seen anything like this in my life. I am an educated woman with a professional career. I have had enough life experience to know that Wilkov's decision to interact with me in such a manner is not normal or acceptable under any circumstance ESPECIALLY when the life of a seven week old infant is on the line. Details of my phone calls and experiences with this practice are below: I brought my daughter in with symptoms of a cold on 11/12. I was dismissed after a visit with a practitioner and told I could call the nurse advice line if I had any additional questions or concerns. I called that night when my daughter ran a fever and received no answer. I left a message and received a call back the next day. The on call nurse said she "didn't hear her phone ring last night". I called on 11/13 and spoke to a rude nurse named Radelia. I told her my infant was spitting up more than usual and she said "well babies spit up". I told her my infant's hands were unusually cold and she said "well it's cold outside". I had to pry information out of her. I called the night of 11/13 and spoke to doctor Pollack. I told her my infant was coughing more than normal and that she had a fever the night before and had a fever that night. She asked a few questions and said "there's nothing you can do". When I confirmed that the cough wasn't anything to worry about she said "I know it's annoying but there's nothing you can do about it." Wilkov released a parent who is only requesting blood work for her daughter to ensure she does not have a bacterial infection.I emphasize the fact that Wilkov released my daughter from her care two days before her scheduled two month vaccinations; she released a 7 week old from her care who has had an active fever for three days. She justified her actions by telling me that in her opinion a runny nose and a fever are of the same level of seriousness and she tried to tell me that bloodwork would not diagnose any illness. She made a poor choice of words assuming that I would call the state medical board to tell them that she "hated black people". Dekalb county is the third most diverse county in Georgia. Let her comment to me and the lack of diversity within her own medical staff speak for itself. Wilkov's entitlement is not worth my child's life.
This place doesn’t take babies that’s older than a week and just discharged from the hospital... it really sucks because I JUST GOT CUSTODY OF MY GRANDCHILD WHICH WAS BORN OUT OF STATE??smh shame on y’all!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
