Best there is! There is no better eye and retina surgeon in the US. Don’t go to anyone but John Thomas.
I really like Dr. Thomas I have been seeing him since 2017. He is always very friendly and patient as well explaining everything thoroughly. I would definitely recommend him.
Became legally blind in one eye and lost vision in other in 12 months after diagnosis due to his misdiagnosis. Told me I shouldn't cry because I don't have cancer!!! My new specialist already knew of this doctor and wasn't surprised but still agreed this was preventable. This guy flirted with his assistant the entire time.
Dr Thomas is very arrogant. When I told him my eye was still blurry after surgery, he called me a liar. His attitude is sickening and he did not care about my concerns for my eye. Don't go to him unless you want to be humiliated.
Great Doctor, he has helped save my wife's eye. Thanks Dr Thomas
Do not see this doctor if you wish to be listened to and spoken to with respect.
Just was not ready to have my concerns belittled and essentially denied as a real problem.
This compassionate, skilled physician was recommended to me by a friend. He spent so much time with me and did a thorough exam. I recommend him highly and without reservation.
He is dishonest with you. He told us before he put a shot in my husbands eye, that it would depend on his eye as to how many he would need. Then after 1, he said you cannot stop with one, how can you stop with 6. His eye had gone back to seeing great after the first one. With the second one, his eye never regained the sight back like it was, and it was very painful. We feel like he may have damaged my husband's eye.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
