I am very dissatisfied with Dr. Kokesky's approach to covid-19 vaccination recommendations for my 10-year old child. While the consensus in your office may be to advise "vaccination for all", I personally do not believe in this one-size-fits-all approach and most certainly do not agree with the intimidation tactics employed by Dr. Kolesky. After initially telling her "no" to the vaccine, she proceeded to question my child about it as if I wasn't there--completely disregarding my decision for MY child. Using phrases like " Do you want to protect yourself from covid?" "Do you want to protect your family from covid?", and "The vaccine is the best way to do this". She even went as far as saying "Talk to your mom about it, and see if you can convince her" while I was sitting right there! I am a parent as well as a physician and the blatant disrespect for me, my presence, and my beliefs is completely unacceptable. Whether or not I choose for my child to be vaccinated against covid-19 is my choice, and mine alone--he is a minor. I would suggest Dr. Kolesky and any other provider that employs these tactics educate themselves on the risks and benefits of covid -19 vaccinations and present BOTH to the patients/parents/guardians; allowing them to make informed choices rather than employing bullying or guilt tactics. Furthermore, your providers need to treat ALL people with respect as it was very clear that. Dr. Kolesky did not respect me or my opinion and seems to assume certain biases toward me as a woman of color. I will not tolerate this type of treatment from anyone, physician or not. This interaction all but ruined an otherwise typically pleasant experience in an office of which I have been associated with for 18+ years.

Simply need school forms filled out have called for a week and each time I’m told I need to do something different to get the form to them. Today I talked to a supervisor who informed me it would cost to have form filled out, which I gladly paid and although I was promised it would be done by the end of the day, still no forms. So frustrating !

Absolutely excellent experience here. So thankful they went out of their way to administer the vaccine.

They only accept newborns as new patients.

We took our daughter here from newborn to 2.5. We were sad to lose such a good doctor’s office when we moved. The office staff was so friendly and got us in almost immediately for sick appointments. We also never had to wait long at all for any appointment we made. It’s such a blessing as a new mom to have a good doctor for your child. We will miss Dekalb Pediatrics!!

My daughter went here from the time she was born until 1 year old. Problem #1: She was diagnosed with eczema at just a few weeks old. We just switched her DR & they immediately performed an allergy test after seeing her skin and she’s allergic to cows milk, peanuts, eggs, soy & wheat. I would have never known this because these people kept saying it was her eczema causing the bumps & itching.. Problem #2: She had a cold for 2 1/2 months but they refused to prescribe her anything because “babies can’t take meds for colds.” She would cough until she threw up. On our 1st visit, her new DR gave her an inhaler to break up the congestion which is all I asked Dekelb Pediatrics to do but they refused. Switching to Kaiser Pediatrics was the best thing we could have done for our daughter.

My daughter has been going here from the very start and she is now 2 1/2. We’ve seen a variety of staff over the years, but our favorite is Sarah the nurse practitioner. Every experience has been great!

Everyone is always pleasant with me and my daughter. We came in once (walkin) and even though they only accept appointments, they put us in an open slot.Ive read previous reviews. This has been our only Ped. Center. My daughter is 5 now and has had PeachState coverage since birth.In addition I can honestly say each time Ive called the receptionist is helpful and professional.

The women who answer the phone need to be fired or trained in customer service immediately! I called to inquire into becoming a new patient and was spoken to as if I was wasting their time.

I love and know all of the doctor's and nurses that are there was so excited when they got their only male doctor, Dr.GK!!!! My daughter have been going since birth and is now 16 and my son is 10 we have never been anywhere but here they are awesome!!!!!!!
