Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates Douglasville's Online Review Report Card

I had a mixed experience with Atlanta Gastroenterology that I wanted to share. First of all I wanted to say my experience with the staff was wonderful. I had an endoscopy last may and the procedure was smooth and painless. The nurses were very friendly and Dr Sanford was a great gastroenterologist. BUT... Their billing department did something that I felt was very sleazy. Before my endoscopy they told me I had to pay a $500 copay upfront. After my procedure I received all the bills from my procedure but I noticed that the $500 never showed up with my insurance and never went towards my deductable. I called my insurance and asked them and they told me they weren't aware I paid $500 up front and that they had double charged me. The insurance company reached out to Atlanta Gastroenterology to try and get my money back. They were told that A.G. was keeping my $500 as a credit and it I wanted the money back I would have to call myself and request a refund. I thought this was ridiculous because I had gone for a follow up appointment and was never told I had a credit. I called A.G. around the middle of July to request the refund. They told me they would put in the request but they would not give me a confirmation number and they told me if it was approved it would take 4-6 weeks to receive a check. I asked why they couldn't just refund the money to my credit card and they said they only send refunds though checks. After not receiving anything I called them back in the middle of August. They told me the refund was approved at the beginning of August (3 weeks after I initially called) and I would receive it in another 4-6 weeks. I asked again why they couldn't just refund the money back to my card and they said they couldn't. Eventually after having my endoscopy at the end of May I finally received my money back at the beginning of September and I cancelled all follow up appointments after that.

Straight forward experience with pleasant staff. Easy check in. Very convenient location and surroundings. Dr. Neal Osborn really knows his stuff set up a plan and is getting me on the path to better health quickly. I look forward to working with him and his staff. A definite, 100% recommendation for gastro needs.

After being unhappy with my last gastrologist, I was recommended to Dr Osborn (Douglasville Location) by a family member and I couldn't be happier! Dr Osborn took the time to thoroughly listen to my concerns, which is what you would assume most doctors would do but my previous gastrologist would jump straight to conclusions and tried to tell me what/how I was feeling. I am always in and out within a reasonable time, usually around 45 mins. I'm very comfortable in the office and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very clean place Dr. Ravi is very good at what she does staff professional Nice .

Dr. Garten is just pure hot garbage of a person, love Ashley though she should take his place immediately.

Dr. Sanford & her NP have been very concerned & very good to me so far.There is always a bit of a wait at any Dr.s officeI don't understand the low Stars I'm very satisfied with Dr. Sanford. I keep all my Dr.'s in the Wellstar system so they know everything going on with me.I'm very satisfied & like Dr. Sanford. So far so Good. 5 Star I give them .

Wonderful staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Nadia Sanford All awesome. No problems, the staff made me feel comfortable and assured, everyone is very kind. Highly recommend getting your procedures here. I drove from Carrollton and it was worth every mile. Again I say Great- Great -Great. ZERO COMPLAINTS. Thanks to all Samantha Richardson

I’ve booked with this facility for concerns with my daughters health. The first visit they recommended an endoscopy ($1200.00) in which we agreed to. The nurses that took care of her during this test were amazing I will say. The test came back as negative. Then it was recommended to have an ultrasound, an another $1000.00. My daughter was in the middle of having an intestinal bout that has reoccurred many times over the past year during the time of her ultrasound. I requested they draw bloodwork to search or possibly identify any abnormalities, after all she was in the middle of sickness, surely something relative could be discovered. The staff told my daughter this would be meaningless and they wouldn’t be able to tell anything by blood work. I then called and spoke to the staff that very moment because that just didn’t make since to me, life is in the blood, how can you not see? Anyhow, they reassured me it would do NO good. So we went along with them and made a follow up appointment for today Oct. 1st. 2019- still no answers! And guess what? Today Dr. Ravi’s assistant tells my daughter they want to do bloodwork to help identify what’s going on with her ( I can’t help but laugh at this point) but instead of doing it today at her appointment they want her to miss her class later this afternoon and come back because they are ill prepared for her appointment or come back in 4 weeks for another “follow up appointment” because the girl that draws blood is at lunch.... This is a joke right? I think we’ll find a more reliable practice to follow up with.
