Wonderful eye doctor. She really helped me understand my eyes and why I was not seeing well. One of the best exams. Highly recommend.
Does not listen to her customers was there for an eye exam for contacts and glasses only gave a perception for my glasses and used my old perception and charged me for it now I have to go get another exam she had an attitude that she knows best very disappointed would not recommend
Dr. Miraflores is by far, the kindest and most thorough of any eye doctor that I have seen in the past. She is down-to-earth and she figures out things about my eyes before I even tell her. I'm glad to have found someone I can trust with my eye care needs.
I have been seeing Dr. Miraflores for many many years now. Basically since she first started with Sam's Club Optical department. She is an EXCELLENT optometrist. She has always had an amazing "bedside manner," due to being a healthcare provider myself, this is always a huge factor on whether I choose to continue seeing a healthcare professional. She has always educated me on best practices for caring for my eyesight, and although I was non-compliant for a long time, as I got older I start following her directions. Since then, my vision has actually improved! I never expected it too, but it has. She has also found a condition in my R eye, that has been there for years, but no one else had ever commented on it, or notified me of the issue. Thanks to Dr. Miraflores, I know what to do if any changes take place, so that I may save my eyesight & not go blind in that eye. Also, my son had an incident a few years ago & developed a hyphema in his L eye. We rushed to the ER, only to be transferred to a children's hospital due to the severity of the hyphema and the medical professional (as well as myself) had never seen one that large before. It was recommended that we f/u with an pediatric optometrist that works with that hospital. It was the same group that the optometrist worked in that saw him in the ER that night. We waited forever, I was not given any caregiver instructions that I wasn't already aware of. I asked if I was able to f/u with my personal optometrist, and was told yes. Dr. Miraflores got him in right away to f/u & really kept an eye on his intraocular pressure for any changes. He was more comfortable seeing her than he was the pediatric optometrist. As long as Dr. Miraflores is around this area, she will continue to be mine & my family's optometrist!!!
I've been going to Dr. Miraflores for two years now. She not only gave me a thorough exam, she explained the risks for someone who is severely nearsighted of retinal detachment. Two years later, I suffered an injury to the bridge of my nose that also affected my right eye. I called her office and explained what happened. She took me that same day. She took her time and explained to me thoroughly what she saw. She referred me to a retinal specialist and told me exactly what to tell them. I'll be going to the specialist tomorrow. Needless to say, if she hadn't taken the time to remind me of the risk of retinal detachment, I may have ignored the symptoms that occurred after my injury. She has an incredible "bedside manner." Dr. Miraflores does an incredible job, and I will continue to go to her hopefully for years to come.
I was having problems with my vision deteorating and went to have my eyes checked. Dr. Miraflores discovered that I had an eye infection (Uvitis) and recommended I be checked for either Tuberculosis or Sarcoidosis, both potential causes of Uvitis. I was checked out and tested positive for Sarcoidosis and am undergoing treatment for that thanks to her careful and correct diagnosis. What impressed me most was that she consulted medical textbooks to help her with her diagnosis in front of me instead of relying only on her experiences and knowledge gained in the classroom years before. A good doctor makes use of all available materials to help in diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Miraflores is located at Sam's Club Optical in Douglasville, GA. She examined both me and my five-year old daughter. I was so impressed by the patience she had with my daughter. Dr. Miraflores helped my daughter feel very comfortable. She not only answered questions, she explained procedures and outcomes thoroughly. She went over and beyond in her examination of my daughter, explaining how I can help prevent lazy eye by being proactive. In addition, she explained possible risks for me in being severely nearsighted, explaining the symptoms of retinal detachment, and what to do if I experience those symptoms. I felt very comfortable with her, and will be seeing her on a regular basis. She is extremely pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Miraflores.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
