List of Emory At Duluth - Family Medicine's Reviews
I was not alerted that my previous doc (Dr. Willard) was leaving and they took me in but charged me as a new patient. Now my new doc (Dr. Gone) who has all my previous paperwork, does not want to continue refilling my antidepressants and wants me to go through a psych office instead. The only psych office I can get a hold of wants a referral from Emory and it’s been a month of back and forth with them trying to get them to send the proper paperwork to the psych office. I can’t get a hold of the office directly, I’m only sent over to their general customer service who emails the Duluth location (no different than doing my chart). I can’t even get a hold of customer relations to ask why this has to be so difficult.
I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Emory at Duluth, where I felt misled and pressured into getting procedures done at their clinic, resulting in unnecessary expenses and a sense of betrayal. Upon visiting the clinic for a routine check-up, I was shocked when the doctor was dismissive over getting labs done at a third location where the tests could be done more affordably. (3000$ charged to my insurance vs. 250 paid through my HSA) When I questioned the need for these procedures at their clinic, the doctor cited her own extensive experience in the field and strongly discouraged me from seeking treatment elsewhere. Feeling intimidated and unsure, I reluctantly agreed to proceed with the treatments at their facility. To my dismay, after getting the labs done I was charged close to 400$ and my insurance ~3000, it became evident that I had been taken advantage of and misled into paying exorbitant fees for services that were readily available at more affordable rates elsewhere. Furthermore, the doctor's attempt to leverage her own expertise and reputation in the field to dissuade me from seeking alternative options was not only unprofessional but also unethical. It is unacceptable for a healthcare provider to prioritize their financial gain over the well-being and financial interests of their patients. I urge anyone considering seeking medical treatment at Emory at Duluth to exercise caution and thoroughly research their options before committing to any procedures. Beware of deceptive practices and overcharging at this clinic, as my experience serves as a cautionary tale of the risks associated with blindly trusting healthcare providers without conducting due diligence. In conclusion, my experience at Emory At Duluth left me feeling exploited and misled, and I would strongly advise against engaging with this clinic if you value transparency, honesty, and fair pricing in healthcare services.
I've been with Emory at Duluth for 6ish years and David Willard has been great. Dr Mizrahi is also great too. However trying to solve issues with prior authorization on my medication has been 6 hours on the phone with 'Emory' call center. I've made requests on my chart and I get denied answers with no recourse/ability to reply. Due to the inaction and inability of messages/information getting relayed, my medication cannot be approved because Dr Mizrahi's office won't reply to insurance/pharmacy and there is no recourse because when you call you sit on hold for 20 minutes with the 'Emory' call center. This is not how you deliver health care.
It is so unfortunate that Dr. David Willard left this place. He cared about the patients, he was thorough and paid attention. He would give feedbacks and stay on your case. Since he left, this place became a sorry place. Impossible to contact anyone, no returns, no feedbacks, they lack attention. It is a pity because the location is so convenient, but without a good family doctor, they are lost. I hope they can get someone who cares for the patients again
I came half an hour before the closing hour and the door was locked. There was a front desk person who saw me and immediately got up and left when I knocked on the door. She hid while I waited for a few minutes then left. This is absolutely insane behavior.
Dr K Gone is a great doctor. She saved my husband's life by referring him to a kidney specialist because Dr Gone saw a problem!!! Thank you Dr Gone
I will no longer be their patient!! Called in at 9am with BP over 200/95 and extreme shortness of breath. Never happened to me before. Call center said they were going mark msg to Mizrathi as URGENT. No call back after 4 hours. Called again and call center connected me to a nurse who told me to go immediately to ER. I spent 3 days in hospital with congestive heart failure!!!! Oh, and mizrahti DID CALL ME BACK AFTER 5pm!!!! She said she just then had a chance look at her messages!!!! 100% not acceptable.
The level of service I’m receiving is zero, I’m trying to get a prescription refilled and unable to get clarity on why it’s taking this location to complete a pre authorization. The customer service level non existent.
Pointless to try and use them for primary care when you can’t get an appointment within 6 months.
I went in with a cough and Mizrahi told me my lungs sounds perfect. Soon after I end up in the hospital having fluid drained from my lungs due to her lack of medical treatment. DO NOT GO HERE.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
