Phillip Nakano's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Nakano performed a tummy tuck on me many moons ago. I still remember the great care he provided to me before and after my surgery. I am still very happy with my results and will go back to him for other procedures.

Dr. Nakano provided a strong and compassionate relationship at my visit. We worked together to determine my desired outcome and I trust him for all my future cosmetic needs. His skills are unparallel to any prior physician I have visited.

I just have to give my thanks and appreciation to all at Dr Nakono's office in Duluth GA for he and his staff are the best and I highly recommend him. I had a faclift done and he did a remarkable job. I will be using him again in the near future for other things and just wanted to say again how very pleased I am with his work. My 2 hr drive there and back was so worth it.

Best decision we ever made. My mom 60 years old had a very difficult plastic surgery and Dr Nakano did the best for her. Very Profesional, always there for her. I will always recommend this wonderful doctor to everybody.

I have had several surgeries with Dr. Nakano. He is professional, courteous, more so than any other doctor I have ever seen. He takes time to listen to your concerns, and gives you his honest opinion. I appreciate honesty because there are a lot of doctors out there who just want your money, whether they can make a difference or not. Reading the review below from the person who really trashed Dr. Nakano, I would say the problem is with her, not Dr. Nakano. Maybe he didn't tell her what she wanted to hear, just the truth!! That is what he does!! I have known him for years, and that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. He gets raves from everyone else, except this bad apple. Guess there is one in every bunch! LOL! I I absolutely LOVE the way I look. If you want the most caring and best surgeon around, you should see Dr. Nakano. His staff is top rate too!

Hello Everyone, I went to see this doctor 2 weeks ago before I got my smart lipo done. And was very disappointed I planned to use my insurance to cover for my reduction. Upon reading the criteria for my breast reduction I had everything planned out and knew how much they will require per my BSA ( body surface area). Which total to a maximum of 575 grams of tissue removed to be covered. After speaking with Dr Nakano I advised him of this also told him because of my figure I don't want my breast to be too small. And if this is what the insurance is requiring I think 575 grams is a pretty good amount. He suggested that I took out 800 to 1200 grams of tissue. I asked him what size would that make me he said he didn't know each breast sizes different. I asked if he had at least a ideal of what it will bring me to, he said "NO"! So you're telling me you want me to be ok with taking out that many grams and not knowing my size?! I asked could he at least do the 575 grams then if I need a second procedure if my back pains consist I'll come back. He said he think I should get a different Plastic Surgeon!!. He turned down my services I was so disappointed in his response. Turning down a potential patient because she had concerns of her out come look. After kindly telling him that was rude to turn down my services. And explaining further as to why I want him to take out less than 600 grams. He said the statement once again find another surgeon. I felt humiliated I almost wanted to cry I never experienced that in my life from Doctor/ Surgeon. I've always known them to be caring and considerate of a patient concerns. He explained to me that he wants to do that many grams because it should take care of the back problems. But he had no ideal what size I would be. So that alone already made me inconfident in his profession itself. If you don't know the size or at least a rational guess. Also I took a look at his pictures because there weren't any online and they all looked horrible. The breast had a squarish look at the bottom not the round natural look. So if anything he did me a favor by turning me down. I just want everyone to be advised if you're considering him.

I've had extensive surgeries with Dr. Nakano in the past two months (breast lift & augmentation reinforced with strattice, liposuction, full tummy tuck with muscle repair) and both Dr. Nakano and his staff have been incredible thorough, meticulous, cautious and compassionate. It was only after extensive research and interviews that I selected Dr. Nakano, specifically due to his demonstrative expertise in new and emerging surgical techniques and the beautiful work he's done on highly complex cases. I've had some slight complications due to my skin composition and activity level and they have been completely on top of ensuring that I heal and scar well, despite my complaints about the timeline and methodologies. I can always objectively appreciate someone who ignores superficial complaints in sight of the greater good; in my case, a longer healing time for a smoother wound. I would send anyone to see him - really an outstanding example of what it means to be a doctor and a surgeon. And an addendum - Lisa, his practice nurse, is also wonderful. She is sharp and highly competent with loads of experience. I probably called her a dozen times in the first two weeks and she was just as warm and helpful the first time as the 15th.

Very rude and condescending. Very unhelpful attitude.
