I like Dr. Bassett just fine for a vision assessment. The real problem I have with this practice is their billing practices and the red tape of resolving billing issues. If you have medical insurance and you have vision insurance: BEWARE. If there is any diagnosis that can be medically coded, this billing office will automatically file on your medical insurance even though you went in for a vision test for your glasses or contacts. You will be left paying the vision test portion that medical never covers. In my case, the vision insurance that I pay for will not be used at this practice; and my vision insurance covers the entire costs of the annual exam. The practice actually makes more money using my medical insurance & taking the unpaid portion out of my pocket that they would realize from my vision insurance.
