Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Outpatient Center's Online Review Report Card

Me and my wife has sat here for three hours and know one has came in or out of the emergency room she has been in a lot of pain but all we needed was Anabiotic’s because she has an abscess tooth and the doctors offices couldn’t make her an appointment for the next three days. I see a lot of people talking and up front but not much work being performed here I think we’re gonna have to just give up and leave. Yep! After three and half hour. we said uncle!! There was nobody even in the waiting room and when we made it to the back there was hardly anybody in any of the other rooms, but after sitting there another 45 minutes we decided to leave that’s absolutely absurd to have to wait that long for someone to write you a prescription for antibiotics

I have nothing but good things to say about the medical staff. They've always taken good care of me when I visited. However, get everything in writing when it comes to billing. I was told by two different people I'd only be paying $98 for an ultrasound which seemed reasonable - it was about as much as independent imaging centers I had been looking at. A month and a half after my procedure I received a bill for over a thousand dollars. Trying to find out why there was such a discrepancy and after talking to multiple representatives, someone finally told me that the $98 was just a "prepayment" and that there was no mistake in the billing. This would be a reasonable explanation if anyone had mentioned to me that it was just a prepayment and that the final cost would be higher, but no one had. When I tried to contest the billing I was basically told that unless I had a quote on the $98 price in writing, I would have to pay the full $1000. I requested a discount many times due to the poor communication and everyone I talked to said they were unable to do anything.

Had an accident while on vacation. The entire staff was awesome! They got me right back and sutured up in about an hour. Dr. "A" as she asked us to call her was gentle and very kind to my kids that were concerned. The paramedic and triage nurses were personable and considerate of my kids fears, even offering them water to help them calm down. Unfortunately we did not have a first aid kit with us (dumb) but I couldn't be more grateful of their location and service!

They deceived us I asked if it was urgent care and they said yes needless to say when I got the bill I was quite surprised. if it would have been a Urgent Care it would have cost me $75 with my insurance for 5 stitches but since it wasn't they billed $1,800 for five stitches. my neighbor had told us it was urgent care I couldn't find anywhere where it said Urgent Care on the building so I asked the receptionist and she's told me that was it doesn't say Hospital anywhere on the building thanks Piedmont. I'll never go to a piedmont again.

We were in Ellijay on vacation and my daughter fell and broke her collar bone. We went to Piedmont and the whole process of being seen, x-ray, and everything only took us about an hour and 15 minutes. (Where we are from this is unheard of!!!! Any visit to our ER is a minimum 6 or 7 hours!!!) All of the staff were extremely friendly and we could not have asked for a better experience.

Had an injury to my cheekbone had CT scan and everything in and out in 45 minutes. Doctor's and nurses was awesome
