List of Susan Smith's Reviews
I saw Dr. Smith for a couple of years, and I gradually lost confidence in her. The final straw was when she suggested that I try talk therapy to deal with the pain resulting from torn cartilage in my hip rather than surgery. She became convinced from the beginning that I had fibromyalgia. An MRI showing the real cause of my joint pain couldn't budge her from that opinion. She actually told me that, "Well, you're in the second half of life (47), so you should expect to hurt."
I've seen Dr. Smith several times over the past two years as my PCP. Early on, she decided that I have fibromyalgia because of my chronic joint pain, particularly in my hips, back, feet, hands and wrists. Over the same time period, I've ended up having to see an orthopedic surgeon to treat a labral tear and bone fragments in my hip. Four separate doctors (the orthopedic surgeon, a podiatrist, a spine specialist, and a different internist) have noted that my joint problems are probably due to the fact that my joints are very hypermobile (most likely due to a genetic connective tissue disorder). When I saw Dr. Smith last week, I asked her if she knew of any treatments or specialists for such issues. SHE SUGGESTED THAT I TALK TO A COUNSELOR TO HELP ME ACCEPT AND EMBRACE THE PAIN!!! I'm 47 years old, and she thinks it's OK that I'm in so much pain that I have a hard time doing routine daily tasks. She thinks I should talk about my pain instead of seeking actual medical treatment!!! Fortunately, the surgeon suggested a rheumatologist.
I recently saw dr. Smith and had been seeing her for a couple of years. Over time, my confidence in her has declined. I am now seeing a new physician.
She answers any question and was amazing with her diagnosis of my issues. She has experience in underprivelged populations and has been worked with people who have had no access to healthcare or education, because of this she encourages patients to be proactive regarding their own health and to practice a healthy life style. I admire her and respect her knowlege, ethic and skill.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
