List of Mark Wittmer's Reviews
Dr. Witmer treated me for Covid with a couple of steroid injections and I could hardly breath. I thought I would wind up on a ventilator but he pulled me through.
I waited 2 hours to be seen only to have the nurse better explain things than Mr Mark Wittmer MD. I have never had a more confrontational experience with a doctor in my life. The entire interaction was him listening to me breathe in twice and then tell me Im good to go. I didnt even finish explaining my symptoms before he told me that I was fine. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt on the path to hospitalization I am legitimately worried about my health. When I asked if it was normal to have breathing problems as an overreaction to the vaccine he said that Im not having breathing problems. I tried to better explain what kind of breathing problems I was having. waking up having to clear my throat for 10 minutes dizziness a constant wheeze... Before I even finished he said I was putting words in his mouth and that if I was really having breathing problems that I should go to the ER. As he stood there with his arms crossed I was dumbfounded as to what to say to that.
If I could give him 0 stars I would. Mark did not take the time to listen to me. I had severe knee pain due to running and gave him more information on what led to that. I was using a running app and told him it goes in intervals of running and walking since he has the misconception that I ran 3 miles with no breaks and he replied “you can believe an app over me not here to convince you”After a total of maybe 15 minutes talking to me he did not physically look at me knees once. I redirected his attention to my knees asking if they physically look okay. He looked for a second and said sure. His demeanor was overall condescending and arrogant. He said he prescribed me steroids to get rid of the inflammation. Knowing the directions are on the box it’s still very helpful to know hearing it from the doctor. I asked him how to take it and he responded “well they’re on the box but 3x a day for 4 days”. It led to me not asking anymore questions that I had in mind. Overall a terrible experience and not someone I’d recommend to anyone.
I recently went to see him regarding a medical concern. He was informative professional and kind. I have been to him on other occasions through the years and have always been very pleased.
Had the unpleasant experience with dealing with mr. wittmer he has not earned the right to be called dr. imo for a DOT physical. When he came into the room he started yelling at me I had diabetes and it was out of control. I tried to explain to him to no avail that I knew I was diabetec had marked it on the form and was on a treatment plan. He left tge room still yelling that I had diabetes and he couldnt certify me as it was out of control. I finally had to get the office manager to ask to have an a1c done to verify it was within standards. At this point I find out mednow is not even setup to do an a1c onsite even though the fmcsa guidelines address testing as part of qualifying a diabetic driver. So not only a poor provider but a practice that isnt even prepared to do a proper DOT physical even though they have registered with FMCSA as able to do a proper DOT physical. The really sad part was when he lambasted the assistant to the point of tears for trying to help
The Dr listen to my problem and advised me the best course of treatment and let me know that my current medication could cause eye problems and he was helpful on writing me a medication that helped me a lot.
Would NOT recommend this doctor or MedNow at all. I was very very sick in the winter a few years ago. I went to MedNow was in the room having an exam by Wittmer and I started having an insane coughing fit. I couldnt get my arm to my mouth fast enough and Wittmer jumped up and stormed off saying Id coughed on him. He was yelling and very angry. I was crying. Then he came back in and threw some prescriptions at me. It was horrible. Horrible horrible man and doctor. Do NOT go there.
Horrible bedside manner. Rushed my visit and argued with me when I told him the medication he was prescribing wasnt what I had before.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
