Cuong "Alex" Nguyen's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Nguyen has been a wonderful doctor to work with throughout this process. He can come across as standoff-ish and can sometimes seem rude but he isn't going to accept the BS excuses as to why you haven't done what you need to and what he is requiring you to do. Part of this process of weightloss surgery is taking responsibility for where we are now in life and he does an excellent job of that. His staff is great as well.

He is very condescending and rude. He was openly flirting with a drug rep at the office but treated me terrible because I didn't look like the pretty blonde girl selling him something. Rudest doctor I've ever met and extremely unprofessional! I hope his wife sees how he acts at work!

I had an extremely poor experience with Dr. Cuong Nguyen. He hardly let me speak. Became verbally combative with every word I said. His number one goal was to lower my self-esteem. He did his best to make me feel it was my fault I was sick. He continually patronized me. He wasn't concerned with my health at all. He just wanted to use me to make a point. He did his best to "bully" me. He became annoyed and agitated with everything I said. He even yelled at me. Not a good experience.

Never good to this Doctor! He thinks he is GOD talks down to you. and his support group is NO HELP, this staff tells the Doctor everything then when you see him he treats you like poo... he will lie to you one of his best lies is your insurance company said xyz so you have to wait 6 more weeks for your surgery. Then when you had enough and try to change to a new Doctor the office keeps giving different reasons why the papers do not transfer to the new Doctor . Diana Oct-2018

Dr. Chung (Alex)Nguyen was my daughters surgeon. He did surgery (Nissan Fundaplication and hernia) March 14, 2016. She came home within 23 hrs. Two weeks later dismissed her to return to work. After surgery she lost to 68 lbs and for 3 months he would tell her she had a sinus drainage. ENT specialist he sent her to said no drainage. Today is April 23, 2018 and she never was able to return to work. No recommendation from me.

I know he must have a lot of knowledge of his profession but bullying patients and making them feel like they know nothing and are worthless is not a quality I find good in a doctor. You do exactly what he requests and he infers that you are lying to him. There is no pleasing him and he even sends in an assistant because and I quote the assistant "He is to mad to talk to you right now". He tells you that the insurance company ties his hands because of paper work and it will be another 6 weeks when I already talked to medicare and they said it was approved it is just waiting for the doctor to do the surgery, so he lied about that.

He is attentive and very thorough. He is truly an expert in his field and I feel fortunate to have found him.
