Outstanding experience starting over a year ago. Tried non surgical methods to help with severe hip pain that worked for almost a year. Finally scheduled surgery. Top notch staff using the best, most current methods. 10 days out, incision was healed very nicely and little pain from day 1. Never cut a muscle.

Only get to see a PA and he won't listen to me or respect my feelins. The staff refuses me appointments and makes the decision on whether or not I have a problem that needs to be seen by him. The docotor that did my first knee was awesome and it went so well this has been devistation for me

Well I thought he was a good orthopedic surgeon but he puts his staff up to doing the talking instead of him telling you things, I don’t like that, he should have been honest from the get go!

AHHH, MAYYYYYYYY, ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGG!!! I have never had such care, service, patience, and explanation from any specialist as I have from Dr. Scales. I'm speechless, actually! He spent all the necessary time to assess and explain my knee problems. He provided three different alternatives to resolve my situation. His staff is beyond helpful and caring. Dr. Scales should be awarded for excellence!

I was told that my insurance was accepted by Dr Scales staff and that I would not have to pay any additional money after paying my co-pay. That turned out not to be the case and I was billed another $200. I called numerous times to discuss the situation and I received nothing but run around. I called the billing department and was told I needed to call the office and speak to a manager. The so-called manager NEVER answered the calls and NEVER returned my calls, even though I left messages numerous times. I would probably not have returned for treatment from Dr Scales even without the insurance problem because he seemed to me too quick to mention surgery as a solution. Surgery for me would always be the last option. I definitely would not recommend this practice!

Dr. Scales was the only Dr. that DID NOT want to get rid of his patient in two hours so he could make more money that day. He insisted that I stay in the hospital for two days for treatment and observation. His PA and the Brasilton hospital were EXCELLENT !!! And my hip is good again.

Doctor Scales and Kevin have performed three surgeries (two shoulders and a knee, all full replacements, and another shoulder replacement is in the works They have all been outstanding and changed my life (pain relief) At West Point he is a 4.0 !!!! His whole staff is wonderful !!!!! Especially Wendy who has a most difficult position juggling Doctors patients and hospitals!!!!! !!!!

Scheduling nurse (Wendy) has a horrible attitude. After waiting 5 days with no call or follow-up, I had to call them to get a surgery date. Her response was I am very busy, I have three doctors I work with Attitude went down hill from there. Bad way to start the patient/doctor relationship.
