Gainesville Surgery Center's Online Review Report Card

Recently had surgery, today actually. Everyone was so nice and caring. I work in healthcare and I know how stressful their jobs can be and how hard it can be to keep a smile on your face all day. But they did and it seemed genuine. I would recommend GSC to anyone needing surgery.

Heather my nurse was very nice and kind and did everything she could to help me with my pain control. Also Ms Anderson from pre-op was very nice and comforting to me as I was nervous about having surgery.

Professional and curious.

If I could give no stars I would! My relative’s surgery was scheduled for 11:30, we were told to arrive at 11:15, we arrived at 11. We waited in the waiting room damn near 2 hours before my relative was called back at 1pm…..2 hours later (3:00pm), I’m still waiting in the waiting room due to the doctor being behind, & surgery hasn’t even started. This is ridiculous and unprofessional & I would never recommend this facility to anybody, not even a dog! SCA should be aware & I can’t wait to find a customer service number so that I can let them know how this center operates business.

I was scheduled for a 1:30pm surgery from Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. The day before surgery Gainesville Surgery Center changed surgery to 7:00am. I had arranged for a family member to meet me their for surgery and transportation home at 1:30pm.Had to cancel surgery I been waiting for 6 weeks. Mark me down as Pissed.

First of all I want to thank everyone there for their compassion, attentiveness to me as a patient and answering all of questions and not treating me like a number. Kim, my nurse was AMAZING! She was gracious, funny and caring, everything I would want in a nurse. The operating room staff and recovery were great as well. Thank you!

All employees were the Greatest! All could not have been more professional! I highly recommend this surgery center to all!

The rating of the physician is five, the rating of the facility is a two, at best. We chose GSC because it is small and we hoped efficient and patient friendly. Wrong. In the first place, they overbook - by a lot. We had surgery scheduled for 12:15; it started at 2:45. Meanwhile the patient waited in pre-op since 11:20 - 3.5 hrs in pre-op. That is insane. And there were no emergencies, just lousy scheduling. GSC asked the patient to be there at 11AM. In other words, the patient absorbs their ineptitude. Family members are abandoned in their small waiting room. They have no status update system. One is just left to wonder. The water fountain is broken and the vending machine is essentially non-working. In this case the wait went from 11AM to 5PM in this barren little waiting room, for a procedure that should have taken overall maybe three hours. GSC can hardly be unaware of these conditions and operation. I suspect that hey just do not care. This place needs a serious revamping. And, BTW, there is no place to lodge complaints on their website. I wonder why?

This is a small, but well organized facility. for The office staff was friendly. The medical staff (anesthesiologist and nurses)were thorough and friendly. They made my son feel comfortable and at ease with his first surgery. Thanks for a good experience with the surgery.

My visit was very satisfactory. I was called on to be there earlier than the previously scheduled time on the day of surgery which was good for me. I do have to say that medical personnel were all outstanding. Nurse Stephanie is a jewel. I hope she is well paid. She made my visit so pleasant with her attention to detail and keeping me comfortable. I am a nurse so understand good care when I see it. The facility was clean and appeared to be well organized. Thanks to everybody.
