List of Jeffrey Charpentier's Reviews
I just had my first appointment with Doctor Jeffrey Charpentier. I’m so relieved when he was knowledgeable regarding Chronic Migraines and Fibromyalgia. It felt refreshing to hear that he sees patients with my symptoms all the time. Many doctors unlike Charpentier don’t believe fibromyalgia is a real disorder as a blood test can’t confirm you have it (I’ve experienced this). He took me serious and was quiet (but, don’t mistake this as him being aloof, he’s rather to the point which I respect). But, he’s very observant. I was trying to hide my hands shaking (it can embarrassing) and he immediately saw it stating it was Tremors. He ordered a 2 MRI’s, 2 EMG’s, and a EEG. I’m so thrilled he’s being aggressive in my treatment. I’ve read some reviews about him stating he the appointments were rushed and he doesnt explain things in detail (please understand that he’s in the zone when he was with me (as I can read people very well having a psychology background). He completely zeroed in with using less words what was going on with me). And that’s what matters most. As he will find out what’s going on with you. Give him a chance and I think he will help you find the root cause of your pain. I’m thankful to him and his Staff.

Dr. Charpentier really took the time to listen to my concerns and give me the best course of action for my migraines
Dr. Charpentier is very thorough and listens to my needs. I really felt like he spent a lot of time discussing my options for my migraines and giving me the best plan of action.
Dr. Charpentier is a great doctor! I have been seeing this doctor for a few years now. He has always been professional, knowledgeable and very understanding. He takes time to answer questions and provide as much information as possible to ensure I understand what is going on and what the next steps should be. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.
As a neurological nurse practitioner our clinic in a distant state had mostly headache and back pain patients. We ALWAYS gave each patient a full 60 minutes of history and complete physical exam. Our patients trusted us and would tell us information that they didn’t think was pertinent but ended up being VERY important to help with diagnosis and treatment. This Dr Charpentier didn’t bother with any history for “increasing migraines” except to read my chief complaint put on chart by front desk clerk. He did NO physical exam even though I also stated that I had balance problems and memory loss. He basically told me I was exaggerating. Just told me to back to my internist who had referred me to him. I have never seen a specialist who didn’t do his job.
Terrible. This doctor refused to listen when my father was having very serious neurological symptoms, even after we called repeatedly begging him to help. My father almost died because this doctor refused to admit there could be something more going on than basic dementia. He was arrogant and dismissive and could not be bothered with anyone telling him he could be wrong. Two days after my father’s visit with him, he ended up in the ER needing treatment for the exact condition we asked this doctor to consider and he refused. Even after our father was diagnosed, Dr. Charpentier still could not admit he was wrong. His arrogance and lack of familiarity with uncommon conditions could severely hurt someone or worse. I sincerely hope that after this experience, he will at least consider that it is possible that he doesn’t know everything. And if someone comes into his office with severe symptoms, maybe he can take a little time to actually care and listen. It could save someone’s life.

He listened and seem to want to help me. Everyone in the office nice
Not Great. Rushes and doesn’t listen to questions. Office staff in Douglasville are horrendous. They don’t call you back and when you ask questions they act as if you’re an inconvenience. I’ll be finding a new neurologist soon as my seizures aren’t being helped by this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
