John W. Forrest's Online Review Report Card

I had high hopes for this doctor's appointment. I was deeply disappointed. Dr. Forrest was rude and dismissive - I considered leaving in the middle of the appointment. His staff was pleasant. Dr. Forrest is just going through the motions and has no compassion or consideration for his patients. He was dismissive to a woman who had complications after surgery - I could hear them talking. I felt so sorry for that woman.

My father goes to Dr. John Forrest and he referred my father to an ophthalmologist in the Sandy Springs area. My father is a 80+ years old and doesn't drive towards Atlanta. Dr. Forrest was very rude and not helpful when he inquired about if he could be referred to someone closer. My father said you told him that he'll need to make the drive or LOSE HIS VISION which made him very anxious. Dr. Forrest you need to understand that your elderly patients may need more consideration & guidance in these matters. Dr. Forrest I say to you DO BETTER when dealing with your elderly patients. It won't kill you to take a few moments to be kind.

I have been seeing DR Forrest since 96. He diagnosed my glaucoma. we have moved several times but always came back to him. He has never let me run out of eye drops. Dr Forest is a caring, compassionate man.

I have been a patient of Dr Forrest since May 1995. He treats me for my glaucoma. Even before I was a patient myself I would take a elderly friend, my grandmother and my mother for their visits to him, he has never failed to impress us with his knowledge and professional care for us. Also one of sisters is a patient of his for a couple of years now, she says she chose to go see him due to my praise of him over the years, Dr Forrest helped my sister with her allergies and with Dr. Farris even to get her prescription for her eyeglasses correctected whereas Americas Best had failed her greatly. Dr. Forrest and his staff are friendly and always helpful. Dr Forrest always walks me to the front desk after my exam, his smile is reassuring!! In my humble opinion he is the best in his field and I wouldn't want to think I would have to see any any different Ophthalmologist. Also is convenient to me to go to his office in Cleveland Georgia when possible. Thank you Dr Forrest!!!

Dr Forrest treated me like someone who was uninformed or over-reacting, despite very specific issues raised post surgically. He was condescending & showed little to no concern. His treatment bordered on unprofessional.

Have had an awful experience with him following cataract surgery that didn’t go well.

I have glaucoma and need daily eye drops. I have to remind him or his associate if I need a refill. If I run out it takes days for a response and refill. They never call you back. Just poor patient service. Very disappointed as I have been a patient for many years.

I have macular degeneration. My doctor retired and a friend told me about Dr. Forrest, I brought my records from my doctor who has retired with me to Dr. Forrest. When I asked how much my disease had progressed, Dr. Forrest did not 'have time" to look at my file. He did not seem to have concerns about me going blind. He told me that I was not a candidate for a medication then gave me a paper with the name of the drug, so that I could "get it". Will not go back.

I highly recommend Dr. Forrest. I have undergone two cataract surgeries and beforehand watched several YouTube procedures. I could not be more pleased with the results! Dr. Forrest seems to exhibit excellence in so many areas – from choosing his staff to the surgical procedure itself. The followup visits have been thorough with every question I had being answered.
