Hey everyone Dr. Smith and Dr. Alvear are working in Gainesville and Dr. Smith is also working in Buford you may have to call for Scheduling. If you see this review PLEASE pass the word especially if you have pain mgmt needs that aren’t being met. Specialty Spine is a great place. The doctors are great at listening to what’s going on how you’re hurt and depending on what your needs are.

Pain Mgmt physicians are a dime a dozen. All perform relatively the same injections and procedures but what sets Dr. Alvear apart from the rest is pin point accuracy in his treatment. While many offices have you coming back month after month because the injections are never quite right...close but the last time I checked close was not a desired outcome. He is thorough precise has always exhibited a true concern for his patients and is as down to earth and understanding as any physician I know. But all that good stuff aside his precision alone makes him the best choice for pain management. I trust him 110%

This is been the worse experience I had in terms of billing from a Doctor. They billed my insurance company with one name the first time and another name the second. One claim was covered and the other one they made me paid for it. Perhaps the Doctors need the money more than me. There no more Doctors who practice medicine for passion and vocation. Is all about money

I was referred to Dr. Alvear by a neurosurgeon for my back and neck pain. On my first office visit hed already reviewed my MRI results and was aware of my problems. I never felt rushed and he took the time to explain my conditions. He answered all my questions and a plan was made to help me alleviate the pain. I highly recommend Dr. Alvear for my friends and family.

Wow. Dr. Alvear....where do I begin? I can fill a few pages about Dr. Alvear but sometimes 1 or 2 words can suffice. So ... 1 SMARTS Dr. Alvears passion for medicine and keeping up with the latest advancements has always given me tremendous confidence and trust in his advices and assessments. 2 HUMANITY from his great humor to always displaying a genuine interests in knowing who I am and not my medical condition Dr. Alvear has been a blessing to me for 12 years.

I enjoyed Dr Alvears treatment. Sadly I can no longer find him. He no longer practices in Sandy Springs. Wonder if anyone knows where he went.

the front staff to the nurse are very kind and makes you feel comfortable.Dr. alvear will take time to listen to you an will explain your diagnosis he never got in a hurry he has a great team.5 stars

Dr Alvear has probably one of the best bedside manners that I have ever encountered in any physician. I felt like he really listed to me empathized with my situation and offered a very positive attitude toward alleviating my pain which he has greatly followed through on.
