Dr. Wood somehow managed to make a traumatic circumstance significantly worse. After my stillbirth in August, she decided to argue with me and defend a Longstreet Clinic doctor that ignored and even laughed at my concerns prior to my daughter's death. She then threatened me with psychiatric detainment, claiming I was hysterical, when I wasn't. I was upset at her cold tone and abrasive demeanor. Intuition should have told her that if she did not agree to just remain silent when speaking with a grieving mother, but that required a degree of empathy. Thank God, the nurse interceded and kneeled down at that moment and hugged, and reassured me that I was heard. Even now, I can assure the reader that this doctor's behavior still compounds to my trauma. As I left the hospital, she saw me leaving, but decided that insulting another colleague was more important than acknowledging my departure. Just a mean person with little empathy. Please request anyone else. Schedule with Dr. Springfield or Dr. Harper.
