List of Kathy Herndon's Reviews
The best pain management doctor in Gainesville, Ga. so kind, so very effective. As a retired recovery room nurse, I have met many other anesthesiologist in pain management. The three shots your insurance covers then you're out of luck is just not her style, if there is anything she can do to help, she will.
I initially saw Dr Herndon for sciatica, severe enough that I was unable to work. After seeing multiple physicians and using various modalities without success, I found her. Within a few treatments, I was able to return to work as a nurse, pain free. Five years later, I sought her help again for a very painful knee injury. I initially saw orthopedics and was told they couldn’t do anything for the pain I was experiencing, and to just ‘deal with it.’ Again, within a couple of visits with Dr. Herndon, my pain was manageable. By the third visit, it was gone. I was NOT looking for narcotic pain relief, simply something to allow me to function. We collaborated and mutually agreed on a plan of action. I highly recommend Dr Herndon and her nurse, Cindy. Both are caring, compassionate and interested in the well being of their patients. Dr Herndon is a skilled provider and very competent pain management physician. Excellent care!
A caring and very compendent doctor. Takes personal interest in patients and goes beyond the call of duty. As a patient I have complete confidence in her care.
Extremely knowledgeable in interventional pain treatments. Compassionate doctor and staff. Highly recommend.
Dr. Herndon and her staff are amazing. They treat me like family and they are always willing to do whatever they believe is best to treat my condition. I'm not completely pain free. However, I can function much better than before they started treating me. I cannot imagine not having these wonderful people in my life.
Dr. Herndon is a highly competent, ethical and knowlegeable physician who has tremendously helped me manage my pain issues for over 15 years, including herniated disc, shoulder, neck and foot pain. She has treated me, my wife and my daughter with excellent results. In addition, she and her staff are compassionate, caring folks who carefully listen to the patient's needs and make you feel they truly care about you (which they do!) Many kudos to Dr. Herndon, Cindy and Sabrina! They're the best!!
Dr. Herndon is a very caring and thorough doctor. She listens and wants to truly understand your circumstances. She communicates openly and honestly with you and tries her best to provide the best treatment possible.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Herndon and the entire staff. They are very professional and eager to help in any way possible. I am very fortunate to have them assisting me on my road to recovery. Thank you very much. Stan Dyer
Dr Herndon keeps finding reason NOT TO HELP CONTROL MY PAIN. I’ve learned that telling the truth only sets me further behind with any help from her. She came highly recommended from a friend which makes my review of her difficult. She’s had many tests run on me so she has reports and films of my pain locations. But because she hasn’t gotten me in to see a psychiatrist , and am currently on 1mg xanax, she won’t help me! I’ve got severe osteoporosis, 48° curvature of the spine which is shifting everything inside my rib cage, full knee replacement and have a femur rod. I don’t want to go back to her anymore. I made a mistake and told her that a family member had abused cocaine so that automatically makes me have an addictive personality. I also told them that I started smoking again on Christmas day 2018. According to my primary care physician, he stated she will not write me anything for this pain because I smoke. I guess she would’ve told me that in my April 3 visit. There’s always a reason not to help me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
