Needed a new dr with this peactice since my wonderful Dr Bizon retired. I was having breast pain when I saw Dr Barger. I wasn’t overly fond of his bedside manner, and then he did a super quick breast exam and said I had a “cyst or something”, and referred me to a surgeon for a biopsy. Scared me to death. I saw the surgeon the same day and he felt absolutely nothing abnormal. So I had a big scare just for fun, I guess. I will not be seeing Dr Barger anymore.

Dr. Barger delivered my healthy twin boys in 2009 and my healthy baby boy in 2017. I have received nothing but excellent care.

Dr. Barger and the staff at Longstreet OBGYN are knowledgable, professional and provide great care. I was actually a patient a different practice I was happy with, but when I needed an outpatient surgical procedure, the cost to have it performed at a hospital was exponentially higher than it was at Gainesville Surgery Center, where Dr. Barger also had privileges. The procedure went smoothly, and having it done with Dr. Barger/Longstreet at GSC saved me over $5,000 out of pocket. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and the care provided. I will be sticking with Dr. Barger going forward!

Dr. Barger has extraordinary bedside manners. He's knowledgeable and personable...explains everything in detail and doesn't make you feel rushed. He takes his time during visits to answer questions no matter how busy he may be. I drive an hour and a half to see him. Wonderful Doctor!

From the first day we met Dr. Barger we have loved him. This is our first baby, and I was so nervous to find a new doctor that I would be comfortable with. Not only is he a great doctor, but he is so easy to talk to about any questions I may have and not once has he ever made me uncomfortable or nervous. I had to be referred to a specialist (another dr I love, Dr. Alleire) because of my negative blood type and Dr. Barger was so good about explaining to me without terrifying me what was going on. So thankful he is our doctor! Also, it helps that his front desk and nurses have been very nice (not all offices have been that way).

Dr. Robert Barger is by far the best GYN I have ever been to. He is not only professional, competent and reassuring but amicable allaying all your usual fears/anxiety of an oby/gyn visit. I highly recommend him and his office /tech staff. You can rest assured you made a good decision in choosing him.
