it would have been nice to at least be able to get something decent for pain until they got out what needs to be done. I'm not a pill head but feel like they think you are.

I wish I could write a positive review about Specialty Orthopedics, but after being a patient for almost a year I have to say I'm taking my business elsewhere. They moved their check in process to exclusively be on Phreesia. The platform is slow, cumbersome, frustrating and they have started to refuse to check in customers unless they use it. There were several times the front office staff were rude like my concerns weren't worth their time. I over looked this, but after being told they wouldn't check anyone in unless they used Phreesia I have to move on. I know that other businesses have start to use Phreesia, but they still offer a normal check in option.

Had surgery today and was impressed with all the staff there and in the final minutes before going back there were three nurses along with my wife with me one was going over the customary questions and the last one she asked was did I have any sins I needed to confess to God before we went into anesthesia I replied that I had that all covered,I asked for prayer and as we all held hands she prayed a fervent prayer over me I immediately felt that I was in the presence of angels all my apprehension left there on thank those nurses for what they did and Dr Ben Puckett for having such an awesome bunch!

I'm not one to write reviews unless I really feel strongly one way or another about something, and the Specialty Orthopedics Surgical Center in Gainesville definitely deserves a review. I've had 8 surgeries within the last 15 years or so and I remember all of them vividly. My most recent was elbow surgery in November 2021 with Dr. Chillemi and it was by far my best surgical experience thus far. Not only is Dr. Chillemi an awesome Dr, but the surgical staff was amazing. Everyone at the center made you feel comfortable, relaxed and they were very personable. I never felt like I was a burden or just another patient coming through the OR. Surgeries can be pretty nerve racking and even scary sometimes but these guys were just awesome at making you feel at ease and did everything they could to help, pre-op AND post-op. They also never rushed me out of recovery like a lot of places do. They made sure I was actually somewhat coherent and felt ok enough to go home. When Dr. Chillemi personally called to check on me after my surgery, also something not a lot of surgeons do, I told him about my experience and how great everyone was. He told me he hand picks his surgical staff, and let me tell you, he did an amazing job. If you are part of the staff at the surgical center and actually read these reviews, THANK YOU and keep up the amazing work!
