List of Alton Memorial Convenient Care's Reviews
This is was 4th or 5th time coming here. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. NP Tracy had me in and out in 30 minutes.
No walked in the room and said we can’t treat you for this because you already have a prescription you haven’t finished from your doctor. Understandable but you could have greeted me and answered a couple questions for me. I was itching from head to toe. Just kept saying we can’t over and over. Very rude!!
I went there not sure what would happen. The staff is caring and friendly the doctor is just down to earth and has good bed side manners THANKS STAFF FOR ALL YOU DO!!
Staff pleasant as soon as I walked in the door. Quick service to obtain a physical. I plan on returning for any convenient care needs.
I was told I didn’t need to make an appointment to get tested for covid before my surgery & just needed to call them & someone would come out to my car to test me. When I arrived & called them, a different lady was working & told me they no longer test people at their cars & that I needed to have an appointment & see a provider. Completely different information given & it’s very frustrating.
Awesome staff! Very caring and efficient
Best Staff & Care in this area. I would recommend a visit for any acute Illness. Lots of changes occurred w the pandemic
I made a covid test appointment with them on a Wednesday and that I was sick. The lady, don’t remember her name sadly, set me up for an appointment to come in to get tested at 9:30am in the next 2 days. I understand there’s a surge going on with this so I took what I could get before I had to go back to work. I showed up two days later at my appointment time and the lady was VERY rude with me and said that she didn’t have me on the schedule. Again, I have waited 2 days while being sick already at home to get in somewhere so I have proof I have covid for my job and all she said was “I don’t know what you want me to do, I don’t have you on the schedule.” I was very angry, impatient and trying to be understanding but at the same time I was fed up and somebody on their part did wrong, not me. Also, she didn’t apologize or act professional towards me at all. I didn’t appreciate how they handled my situation whatsoever. I won’t be going here again. It was disrespectful and very unprofessional.
My wife arrived at 7:30 p.m. and literally had the door locked in her face. When she called to find out why, she was told that this location does not accept patients after 7 p.m. The CNA was not able to provide an explanation as to the difference between "not accepting patients" and "closed". Her demeanor was not acceptable for someone in a service industry. To make matters worse, there were no other patients present, and my wife's issue could have been handled quickly if anyone had cared to do so.This location should, at a bare minimum, adjust their hours on their GMB page to reflect their true times. Better yet, a supervisor should get control of the situation at this location. Given what I have seen in the other reviews and the demeanor of the staff we spoke with, I am actually glad we were turned away. We drove up to Jerseyville and they handled everything quickly and professionally.
On their website, as shown in the photo, they say "No appointments necessary" more than once! They offer COVID tests, etc. and they are listed as a walk-in clinic. Well, my husband went to have a COVID test done and showed up without an appointment and was turned away stating that he needed an appointment. They had no one in the parking lot or the office and said their next available was 1 hour later and that he would have to come back.........did I mention that there was NO ONE there and their website says "no appointment necessary"?So, apparently you have to make an appointment.*My reviews are no reflection of my professional work place*

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
