List of Jing Dong's Reviews
The worst office staff I have ever dealt with. Rude. Dismissive. My appointment was for 2 pm. I had the paper with me that they wrote it on. 3:30 pm I’m still sitting there and staff tells me “maybe he’ll be here in 1/2 hour” and there were four patients ahead of me. I left and will never go back. My time is just as valuable
Over charged and billing department is worst. Dr is okay and after Covid over they have been charged on even for annual visit.
He never asked my concerns, my reason for being there, and had not read my chart. When I began to tell him that I have ocular rosacea, he interrupted me and practically shouted, "You have rosacea all over your face, not just your eyes!" Had he kept his mouth shut and listened to his patient (me), he would have discovered that I KNOW THAT. However, It has only recently started affecting my eyes. He continued to interrupt me the entire time, so I gave up. His bedside manner is horrible, and I left with NO treatment plan other than to come back in a year. I will never go back as there are much better ophthalmologists out there. Once home, I read all the bad reviews on health grades regarding his lack of skill in performing eye surgery. I wonder how many of his patients had symptoms they wanted to discuss with him but were too afraid to speak up due to his dismissive, antagonistic personality. Dr. Dong, it would serve you well to listen to your patients and take a class in bedside manners.

No problem with Dr. Dong, but a problem with his office staff. When they are contacted by a pharmacy for verification of a prescription refill, they never get back to the pharmacy. I always end up having to call Dr. Dong's office myself to get a response. This has happened time after time.
I do not recommend Dr. Dong.
Had Cataracts removed and multi-focus lens put in. Paid for the latest and greatest and still can not see good out of my left eye. Last visit a couple of week ago had barely legal vision to drive. Dr. Dong keeps offering glass!!!!!!!!!! Did not pay over $7000 to wear glasses, was wearing them before surgery and was told by paying the extra $$$$$ and getting the latest and greatest, that I would not to have to wear glasses. Add the fact that I have to put drops in my eyes all day long. Not a happy camper.
To be as objective as possible, I have waited about six weeks before submitting a comment on my wife’s experience with Dr. Dong. After performing surgery on her right eye, it took four weeks before she had significant improvement. She then scheduled surgery for her left eye. During the evaluation, Dr. Dong barely said hello, never asked about progress from the first surgery and was obviously in a hurry. When my wife hesitated in giving him feedback on which of two corrective lens options was best, he appeared annoyed and became impatient, condescending, flippant and rude as he moved the equipment away from and then roughly back toward her face. At that point my wife told him that she would not have this procedure done by him. I offer no criticism of Dr. Dong’s clinical expertise, but his patient interaction, in my opinion, was terrible and very unprofessional. Thus, we found a new ophthalmologist and I would not recommend Dr. Dong's services to anyone.
Why write a review? The previous review was never posted because it was truth and not a made up "positive" review.
Dr. Dong did very good cataract surgery on me about two years ago and all went fine and I like his personality and staff!!! Very professional and helpful !!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
