Scott J. Cahoon's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Cahoon who was useless he ordered an XRay with no prognosis and then referred me to Dr. Stewart. Dr. Stewarts level of care was questionable at best. He diagnosed my foot with Plantars Wart and swelling. From what I understand Plantars Wart is a basic foot ailment. Why did he order that I take a costly MRI? Of course the results showed nothing present in the area of the wart. He then had my wart scraped off and then prescribed me an arthritis topical gel Why? Dr. Stewart never prescribed anything for the wart which persisted. I had to go online to Youtube to find real help with curing my wart issue. If only I had seen this youtu.be1FqBLeMeols video before I went to see these doctors. They wasted my time and recklessly charged my insurance with expensive tests for nothing. Patient beware

Totally ruined my life. Did a horrible job replacing my knee which led to having a revision and severe nerve damage in my leg back problems from limping so long and now my other knee is ruined. Would never trust him again. He’s just all about $$$

He is a fantastic doctor very caring and shows concern with his patients if they are in pain

I would recommend my family friends and anyone that needed his care.

First visit and I am sold This visit was informative and satisfying. Dr Cahoon was very friendly knowledgeable of my condition and took time out to educate me on my condition by demonstrating with the model knee in his office. He was not eager to take me under the knifesurgery suggested alternative possibilities. I left the visit happy encouraged informed and at Peace. Dr. Cahoon performed a total left hip replacement surgery on me Nov. 14 2016 and my life is forever changed. I am no longer in pain as a matter of fact I didnt feel any pain the day after surgery because I was up and walking with a walker of course.Dr Cahoon and the staff at Piedmont Henry made me feel so relaxed before and after my surgery. He was so kind and attentive to make sure I was ok. I would refer him to anybody that need joint replacement surgery.

Health Patient Portal Per website Communicate privately with physicians via messaging. This does not happen with this doctor. He allows his Office to respond with no acknowledgment of who is doing the responding to the email privacy rights violated. Does not show any concern nor does he discuss xray with patient. Made an inaccurate evaluation of my condition without any questions test. Had taken earlier test to indicate he was inaccurate about my condition.

This Doctor definitely does NOT care about the patients well being. He who takes the gold makes the rules. If you are injured please do not choose this doctor. Hell operate on you with no clue as to what hes doing then if you dont heal up or get better hell just say youre malingering and close your file then tell you to seek a second opinion.. Wish there were more ratings on Dr.s that way you can pick the good ones and leave the bad ones alone.

Dr. Cahoon treated me for knee problems osteoarthritis. He is a very competent surgeon and answered all my questions with sufficient detail. I dont know why one patient would give him a low rating but I found him to be concerned and pleasant. I liked him very much which is more than I can say for most of the doctors I visited when I worked in South Dakota
