After an appointment with Dr. Betts, I found his whole attitude to be uncaring and abusive. I would not recommend him but go as far away as possible!

Stay away from this abusive PCP.

I took my neighbor to Dr. Betts as a lead up to her surgery. During the appointment, she was called a "liar" twice regarding her inability to get her necessary refills due to office computers down. Memorial Hospital has been on the news regarding ransom ware attacks! The bullying and abuse from a Primary Care Provider is disgraceful and Evil as a human being to my senior citizen neighbor. My experience this past Friday with Dr Bette’s was actually pretty amazing. From his receptionist’s to his medical assistant Lori, they all made me fe comfortable especially me just moving out to Georgia from CT where j was born and raised and knew where everything pretty much was come to a huge state and not knowing much was a little discouraging somewhat, but Dr Bette’s went through every little thing with me and took his time didn’t rush at all, and then Lori MA came and had me sign papers and we spoke about personal things going on with me and she made me feel so comfortable,needed to take blood she made sure I was okay and what not!! 😊 If looking for a doctor, primary health care, located in Lafayette! This would be the place to check out for yourself!!

We’re new to Walker county from Hall county so our appointment was with DR.Bette’s.first I’ll like to begin my brother whom is disabled and paralyzed from neck down going on 34 years. Our visit was for a simple urine test to determine if he had infection. Before even seeing him the nurse brought to our attention that he doesn’t help with narcotic prescriptions which we weren’t asking for and that’s fine. Once he comes in my brother explained the reason for our visit. Thru the years with some of the best in the field of medicine has he ever been disrespected on manner of storing urine sample. My brother explained how it’s been in past with other Doctors. From that point Dr Bette’s Rudlly stated if you’ll give me time to educate you if you’ll listen. So he explained samples should be refrigerated in order to get true test. In our experience in past thru some of the best between 2-6 hours out of Fridge. Well that’s fair. But this is the part that takes the cake. He goes on about list of meds that brother is on and has been for multiple years and basically if he’s in charge my brother will have to go through pain management because he practices good medicine so the point is we weren’t there doctor shopping we were there for care nothing more. In the end he basically criticized previous doctors and my brother. I’ve never in 34 years seen such an unprofessional Doctor and the amount of respect. Like to mention my brothers doctors are way higher up the ladder and would be very un pleased with his diagnosis of there procedures if I could recommend anything stay away from this Doctor as in whole. Instead of Doctor Bette’s coming back we were escorted out by nurse with nothing but he’s ordered you antibiotics etc. only respectful individual we spoke to was unknown receptionist at desk.whole point of this review is the conclusion is everyone was emphasizing we don’t prescribe narcotics leading us to believe they were concluding my brother was an attic. Only reason is my brother has multiple issues that need attended too. Like to add we weren’t disrespectful to anyone. Final word is I would avoid using this doctor in any fashion

I honestly would not even give him1 star. Please save yourself the trouble and see another doctor. He is very unprofessional and down right hateful. I will never go to him again.

He doesn't ask questions, follow up on patient care, orders tests but his staff doesn't follow through with the orders.

No eye contact or much of a response to any of the issues I came in for. He typed a few things on his computer and said he was sending a referral. I was honestly shocked at how quick the visit was. He actually had to tell me “you can go now” because I thought for sure he was going to ask for more information etc. I called ahead of time and asked if what I needed was something this office provided and was told yes only to get a referral elsewhere at my visit.

Don't waste your time

Unprofessional. Waste Of My Time. Advised Statistics Show That I Was Not a Candidate To Worry About Ovarian, Cervical Cancer, any Female Issues. Testing Is In-Accurate. If I don’t Have Family History Of any of This Don’t Worry about Physical. It’s Not Recommended anymore. Guidelines Changed. I Told Him I Have Never Been Told That, But Sounds Good. Wish I Believed It. I Wish I Had Check Reviews before Appointment. I Would Not Have Waste My Time.
