These orthopedic doctors are not doing well at all!
Had nothing but a great experience for each surgery to replace both knees. Dr. Gudger is awesome. The staff was great & the PT staff great also! Highly recommend!
As a retired nurse of 44 years I am always skeptical when seeing a new doc and clinic. I can only give the highest marks for receptionist staff, intake staff, xray staff and physical therapy scheduler.Best corona virus screening and distancing I've experienced. All were extremely courteous and professional.Dr Kelly 3rd year resident and Dr Ruark were exceptional. Explained xrays in detail, plan and options.I highly recommend
I can only vouch for my physical therapist in Lagrange, Linda Moore. She goes way over and beyond to make her patients feel like someone cares. I highly recommend her for any type hand therapy :)
Just called to get Appointment for today to see doctor about elbow. Was told no elbow doctor in today and she didn't even ask me if I could come in another day or nothing. I said ok and she said yes ma'am and hung up. Will not call them back.
I was hopeful going in, disappointing to be told there'll be no relief. I have had trouble with my left knee most of my life due to a childhood injury. I decided it was time to have it seen about since I finally had the time and ability. I looked for months for a place that would take my insurance (Medicaid). I didn't want to go to Lagrange since I've not had good experiences with Drs there but hughston was the only place covered, so I tried to book online via the website, which states if the appointment time selected isn't available you'll receive a call. I never got a call. I called, spoke to Brianna and made an appointment for may 23 at 1:30. I went to get the paperwork the day before and was told I wasn't on the schedule! They worked me into the schedule, saying Dr Stewart doesn't like to deal with knees but they made the appointment. I got there 30 minutes early as I was told to do. Sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes, listening to the office staff laugh and gossip very loudly. When I finally went back was told I am the last patient for the day. At the time it didn't seem that big a deal but by the time it was over I felt unwelcome and rushed. I did not feel like any person in that office was concerned about finding why I'm in constant pain. I was x-rayed and he moved my leg some, which caused swelling and pain, by the time I got home it was hard to walk. I was told everything looked ok and that I would likely just have to live with it since it's and old injury, there's not much they can do except an MRI and "they'll call me" . I DO NOT feel like I mattered as a patient or that my issue and concern about the pain when I walk was important to them. I was not given a single suggestion of exercise, action, or therapy to help. Maybe if I were in a higher tax bracket I would have been treated better. Places like this are the reason I avoid Drs and Lagrange specifically. All I wanted was relief from pain and maybe even a solution to it's cause, or at least a better understanding of the problem. I did not receive that, or even any semblance of hope for relief. The best I can say is at least they didn't try to push pain meds on me. Very disheartening. Edit: one nurse also asked did I experience hip or back pain, I replied yes, NOTHING else was ever said about it.UPDATE. I have since had an MRI, gone to the Columbus office to receive the results. Dr Stewart in formed me that I have a chronic meniscus tear and suggested steroid shots or exploratory surgery. I received a shot that day, they did not tell me beforehand the potential pain I would be in, or the activities I had to avoid. Knowing those things would have prompted me to postpone the shot for that week. I expected some pain, and for sure got it. A few days after, I received an email from the radiologist that did my MRI. Not only do I have a chronic tear, I also have a fairly large cyst that leaks fluid and may cause swelling. Dr Stewart either withheld information, or did not read the report thoroughly. Again, a factor that would have changed my decision. I'm no genius but I do know that steroids makes things grow, at the very least I would have asked about the potential of making the cyst bigger with this treatment. Obviously will not be going back, and have moved beyond DISAPPOINTMENT, I am LIVID!
I had shoulder surgery. My shoulder is doing great. Staff is always nice.
Penny was very kind, understanding, and friendly. We were in and out without conflict or concern.
Rude, slow, incompetent: An 8am appt and we’re still waiting at 9:30 to see the doctor. Amazing that a doctor’s office can be 2 hrs behind on their schedule as soon as they open the doors! I wish this was the only poor experience we’ve had. Originally was seen after dislocated shoulder. Doctor ordered an MRI and it took the office staff 2 weeks to get the correct paperwork to the hospital. Every time we called we were treated like it was our mistake.
Agree with other 1 stars....just the worst professional experience in a doctors office. Took weeks to get the MRI referral, waited 1.5 hrs for my appointment without ANYONE apologizing for the wait or offering up an explanation. My time is just as valuable yet they didn't think so. I would rather scope my own knee than go back there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
