List of Andrew T Doris's Reviews
Very dismissive Absolutely would not recommend. Dismissed my serious health concerns in two separate cases which led to me having emergency surgery while pregnant, and has had a traumatic effect on my life to this day.
Very Caring and Knowledgeable I have been seeing Dr. Doris for 20 years. He is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. He puts “Patient First”! His hands are very talented and gentle. He is the only doctor whose papsmears don’t hurt. And when he does surgery, it’s very neat and least painful and it heals very fast. He has wonderful bedside manners and spends good amount of time explaining everything in detail. Thank You Dr. Doris for all you do!

And I’m so glad that he talks in detail about the risks of being overweight and tips to go about a healthy life. Most doctors have given up and have stopped talking about this. Thank You Dr. Doris for all you do!
Dr. Doris always takes his time to explain your results and options. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He also relates to your overall healthcare experience with a personal approach. I highly recommend.
Dr.Doris almost killed my sister. She became very ill after her c-section & he accused her of faking it to stay in the hospital with her baby in NICU. He ignored signs of sepsis & I had to go to the CMOof the hospital just to get him to the bedside to see her. He of course downplayed it while her sepsis progressed. She ended up in surgery the next night (when a new Dr on call saw her and IMMEDIATELY took her to the OR). She almost died from sepsis, had a wound vac, home healthcare, etc. This was an overwhelming traumatic situation for her. He needs his license revoked. He's more worried about making rude remarks & making his patients feel bad than to actually care about their assessment, diagnosis, & treatment.
This doctor hates overweight people and told me to my face that overweight women shouldn't have babies. Well, I was fat and pregnant, so I don't know what he wanted me to do at that point. Unfortunately he was on call when I went into labor. Made me feel unworthy the entire time, it was awful. To top it all off, this "skilled doctor" left me with an infection and then accused me of faking it to stay near my son in the ICU. Stay far away from this evil, unprofessional waste of a medical degree.
I have two bad experiences with this doctor. The first time was when I had an appointment with him at 3.45pm but a nurse called me in at 3.20 because apparently this doctor needed to leave early. I obliged and went in early and waited but Andrew Doris never came into the room to see me even at 5pm when I just had to leave after waiting for over 1.5 hours. This was extremely unprofessional. He thinks his time is more important than a patient's time forgetting that patients actually pay for service. So no he isn't better or in higher position than any of his patients. My second encounter with him was when I was admitted to Northside hospital. He asked me a question but wasn't paying any attention to my answer. And what was more appalling is that he literally said "Can you repeat that? I am worried about and my mind is on the patient in the next room". Excuse me, but I don't think he should be discounting my pain just because he thinks that someone else is in more pain. That is outright unprofessional, not to mention inconsiderate. To follow it up, he lectured me on what kind of people should be in the hospital, implying that my condition was not serious enough to require hospital care. This clearly went against the opinions of at least three other doctors who saw me and rightfully judged my condition as requiring hospitalization. Had it been solely up to "doctor" Doris, he would have discharged me while putting my unborn child's life at risk. I hope this review prompts some action to protect other women and their children from dangerous consequences resulting from this man's malpractice.
Second time I have had the displeasure of having to be under his "care" briefly for a medical issue secondary to pregnancy. He did not show even the smallest bit of care or compassion for my issue and left me to continue suffering without gaining the answers that I needed.
I saw Dr. Doris twice. The first time he was very nice and took time with me and I was happy with his treatment. The next time I saw him, he was very rude. He was more upset than me about a situation that came up and I was waiting on him or someone from his office to call me back. His attitude was pretty much, I don't call patients. You sent me to a specialist and then never gave the specialist all of the labs and information she needed to make a decision and then when I explained what happened he was more mad than me! Very dismissive and short. If you're dealing with pregnant people you should be patient not irritable as if you're pregnant. I'm finding that the doctors in GA are not great and I pray I find one that is compassionate and caring because I'm disgusted with what I've seen thus far.
Dr Doris wasn’t my original doctor, but he was the one on call. My plan for a VBAC ended up being a success thanks to him I believe. He was patient with my progress but never once made me feel hopeless or that my baby’s life or mine were in danger. I trusted him based on how he spoke, full of knowledge and gave me clear instructions. I would gladly see him again! It’s always nice to also hear that your dr is proud of you after you delivered your child! He was very encouraging.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
