He had his mind made up about what was wrong with my grandson before even examining him. I had to end up taking him to his pediatrician the same day after he got worse with a sinus infection. Dr Schecter assumed he had a virus “because it’s going around “ without even looking at his nose, until I insisted he do so. Then he said “it’s ok” but it wasn’t. Sure enough he had a sinus infection. Terrible doctor!

Dr. Schecter is through. He is a doctor that listens to your concerns. The doctor also requires the patient to do their due diligence. As with any doctor he needs to know the patients? history and recent episodes if any, so be diligent and forthcoming with your information and concerns to receive the proper and most accurate diagnosis. I pleased with Dr. Schecter?s chair-side manner and medical skill and professionalism.

For a long time my wife has been trying to get me to switch to Dr. Schecter (her doctor) at Total Care and dump the rip off medical clinic that I have been going to. Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Schecter. When, oh when, will I learn to listen to that beautiful woman of mine more promptly?!?Dr. Schecter is one of those rare gems in medicine that takes a genuine interest in the patient. He may be running a bit late for your appointment but that's only because he actually spends the time to have a conversation with his patients instead of "talking to them". He is, without a doubt, the most personable, professional, caring, and understanding physician that I have come across in many years. As far as I am concerned, I will not see another general doctor, for as long as Dr. Schecter is practicing.

Mary has no people skills and is more concerned with charging someone that has to cancel an appointment than she is with rescheduling the appointment

For back problems there is no one better that I know of. He also does acupuncture which helps many of us.

He cares about his patients. He makes a point of getting a good patient history. He seems to keep up with the latest treatments.

Both Doctor and staff are friendly and helpful. Doctor listens to my problems and communicates well about diagnosis and treatment. Is very knowledgable. He is also an expert in acupuncture with over 30 years experience.
