Best vascular surgeon in the country - INVENTED THE SILS procedure

Two days after my surgery to remove my Gallbladder, I began having severe gut wrenching pain in my abdomen! My wife called for an ambulance! I was transported back to Northside Gwinnett hospital emergency, waited for hours until a MD came to work! I was there, unconscious, from Sat midnight until Tuesday afternoon when I awoke. A Dr was standing beside my bed. I asked him what was happening, and he said there is a bile leak! Another Dr was preparing to install a stent to drain bile from my abdomen. I called my wife and she was a wreck! No one had called. I was put back to sleep, again, and the stent was installed. Six weeks later, I was put to sleep again for the Dr to remove the stent. But, surprise, the stent was gone!

Dr. Elsey is an expert on my gastric surgery, he is very gentle and very nice. I had no complication and don't have to come back for another visit , which is good new

I took my husband to Dr Elsey for a lump in his groin. Dr Elsey blew it off saying it was nothing. No ultrasound or CT ordered. Our primary care doctor was concerned and ordered tests. Turned out to be leiomyosarcoma, a very aggressive cancer that took his life. Not sure if early detection would have helped, but I would not recommend Dr Elsey to anyone for anything.

4 years ago Dr. Elsey saved my life after my appendix ruptured and I was in sepsis at the ER. I will be forever grateful for him and will always remember he called me his miracle patient. He fought for me the entire time from beginning to end.

I was admitted through the ER at Gwinnett Medical and Dr. Elsey was assigned to me. I had emergency surgery. When I ask what kind of incision I would have he replied I would get the trauma cut and smiled. My incision was 16 inches and I was stapled back together. I have a horrible scar which he assured me would lessen in a year which it has not. My family tells me he saved my life but I feel like I was treated by army doctor in combat rather than a renowned surgeon in a 5 star hospital. When he came it for his daily checks he always received multiply phone calls which interrupted his 3 minute visit. His explanation for this was it meant he was sought after. He was very cocky. Visits were always rushed. However, his office staff his very professional especially Kelly his office manager.

Dr. Elsey saved my life! I went into hospital with another kidney infection. This one turned out to be septic, quickly and I was in ICU for 5 days. Nothing was helping to rid this infection. Any longer and my organs were gonna start shutting down. After a consult with Dr. Anglade. They decided to cut open my hip, 10 inches. Ouch. Within a few days I was amazed at how much better I started feeling. I was in the hospital for almost a month and a day did not go by that Dr. Elsey didn't check in on me with a big smile. I absolutely love Dr. James Elsey and I HIGHLY recommend him for any of your surgical needs. He is so caring and compassionate and he listens to his patience. God bless Dr. Elsey.

Dr. Elsey was excellent and we would highly recommend him to anyone. He made us feel very comfortable in understanding the surgery he was about to do and we felt in very great hands under his care. Very competent and experienced. This was my second surgery performed by Dr. Elsey, and I felt very comfortable having him perform surgery for the second time. Very caring.
