totally incorrect treatment protocol for my conditions, both hematology & oncology. failed to document the consultations in my chart/record & then a couple weeks later when I called to get the name of the blood test she said she wanted on me to test for a certain type of blood cancer she didn't remember saying that, or that she recommended a full body CT with contrast OR that she recommended a biopsy, potentially jeopardizing my life. did not notify my primary doctor that referred me of what tests she stated he needed to order either. so no record anywhere of what she said during my appointment. sadly incompetant. how can you drop the ball like that on critical information that is required by the medical board to be in a patient's history?!?
first she incorrectly advised protocol for my hyperhomocysteinemia condition - went against the treatment outlined by the vascular doctor. a third doctor agreed fully with the vascular Doctor treatment. then it gets worse - she totally dropped the ball on a possible cancer issue. she told me I needed a blood test for a specific type of blood cancer that could be causing my lymph node problem. I requested that be coordinated with a blood draw with one of my other providers since I get superficial phlebitis from needles. she FAILED to document this in my chart & now does not recall this & is totally clueless. She also told me to tell my doctor to order a full body CT with contrast to see if there were any other areas of lymph node issues. now she told him she didn't say that (she also failed to document this in my chart after my visit). STAY AWAY - she obvious has total disregard for her patient's by failing to properly document our records on something so crucial is cancer!!
first she went against protocol for clotting issue per 2 other doctors; then FORGOT what we discussed & FAILED to properly record & document what she had told me I needed for a possible cancer issue!! she told me I needed a blood test for a specific type of blood cancer & also that I needed to get a full body CT with contrast to see if there were additional lymph node issues. now she doesn't remember saying this & I am NOT getting the tests/care I need. this is CRUCIAL to MY LIFE!! stay away.......she dropped the ball on both hematology & oncology treatment for me; these are her 2 specialties.. SCARY.
She is friendly, caring and intelligent. She is very thorough and diagnosed other issues and sent me the proper specialists for non cancer related problems.
I witnessed her bribing patients to submit positive reviews of her. She's an artificial physician!
She is very knowledgeable and thorough. There is no way I could have gotten through the past year without her.
I have been a patient of Dr Laveaux for a few years. She has been professional, caring, and one of the best physicians I have dealt with during my diagnosis. When I was first diagnosed, I wasn't sure how I would be able to deal with the situation. She made me feel comfortable and has been available to answer any questions or concerns I've had. I recommend anyone that is dealing with cancer to book an appointment with Dr Laveaux.
I was referred to Dr. Laveaux to check some unusual test results, and while I didn't think it was necessary to see a hematologist, my doctor wanted me to. I went, and after an hour long wait to just get my vitals taken, I saw Dr. Laveaux. My experience with her was very unsettling. She treated me very flippantly, and acted as if me being there was more due to anxiety than any actual concerns. She implied hypochondria and honestly acted like I was wasting her time, until I told her my doctor told me to go to her, and then she immediately changed her tune. She then examined me and tried to engage me, and ran some tests for my GP, but I left there feeling belittled and beat up. I find it ridiculous that she started off the bat treating me badly before I even got to tell her that my doctor wanted me to see her, and that it even took doing that for her to treat me better. I have no intention of seeing this woman again, and plan on advising my GP to not refer to her. I just hope she doesn't treat people with actual cancer concerns like that. How incredibly unprofessional and heartless.
Dr. Laveaux is a very competent, caring and no nonsense physician. She will spend as much time with you as you need, explain your treatment and test results in language for the layperson. I would recommend her to anyone going through the difficult diagnosis of cancer. Her assistant, Ria Alexander is just excellent and the staff at Ga. Cancer Ctr. at the front desk and in the infusion facility are outstanding.
Dr. Laveaux has an excellent easy manner. She takes the time to explain complex issues. We find her very intelligent and always seeking answers. She and her entire staff are wonderful. We would recommend her.
Dr. Laveaux was personable and very friendly. She put my wife and I at ease and thoroughly answered all of our questions.
I was very pleased with Dr Laveaux. She is smart , compassionate, honest and caring. I highly recommend her.
I have found Dr Laveaux and her staff to be nothing short of pleasant, welcoming and complete with their communication and knowledge of their roles. I have worked in the medical office setting for 30 yrs. I know bad eggs when I see them. None here. Love her and them!
Dr Laveaux is an amazing physician. Bedside manners are impeccable. She is compassionate and caring.
Dr. Laveaux supervised my chemotherapy at Bassett Cancer Center and was always both compassionate and thorough. I would recommend to anyone who needs oncology care. She is an excellent listener and takes time with her patients.
