Maria F Acosta Md's Online Review Report Card

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who would never have written a poor review but I am appalled by the care she received. I have been in healthcare for over 10 years and work for a large hospital group locally. Dr. Acosta and her team were over an hour late with little to no communication to patients explaining why. When she was finally brought back, the staff couldn't even find her room. They were asking patients and staff if they were her, calling her name in the hallway. My mother had to open to door and say, I am the person you are looking for. Once in the room, the doctor and nurse knew very little as to why she was there and they rushed her through a less than 5 minute visit. Dr. Acosta and the nurse cut her off several times, made a less then funny joke about her weight and when my mother asked why the weight gain? Dr. Acosta looked at her and said, "How old are you?" My mom answered and the doctor responded "Wow, you look good for your age, imagine how much better you would look if you lost weight." This is inappropriate and appaling. My mother was in tears and the provider did not seem to have any empathy nor did she care. She was far to concerned about explaining to my mother how they used to be a Rural Health Clinic and why they see patients every 6 months and do not schedule follow ups or call patients with their lab or test results. Needless to say, my mother will not be returning. I hope that someone at HCA finds this and is able to correct the lack of customer service and professionalism in this office.

I have been seeing dr. Acosta for 7yrs. I got cancer and she just totally stopped helping me taking away my major scripts I have been taking for 10yrs. Her bedside manor is TERRIBLE with an appoint ment she is only in the room 3 minutes at best !!refuses to give refills even my pharmicists hates dealing with her office staff is just plain out MEAN!!!!!! All in all the doctor and staff are the worst I have ever had !! I definitely do NOT recomend this doctor or her office !

Great staff and comfortable environment. I been with them almost two years and enjoy my visits.

Office staff needs replaced. Dr. Acosta is awesome!!!
