I required an emergency appendectomy (while I was also undergoing chemotherapy) and was so fortunate that Dr. Parel was on duty. He was very kind and took the time I needed to explain what was happening. He visited with me frequently during my recovery as I was dealing with multiple issues. Dr. Parel was always "there", was never distracted, and answered all of my questions. Highly, highly recommended!

Such a friendly, knowledgeable and personable physician. He took time to clearly inform me of my options and how each would impact me in the future. He explained the surgical process and made sure that I understood what to expect before he left the exam room.

My husband went in for a peg tube and there were complications. Dr. Parel was called in and he was able to place the tube, prevent further complications and allow my husband to receive nourishment! You have been a true blessing to us Dr. Parel Thank You!

I found Dr. Parel to be an excellent, caring physician and would gladly recommend him to anyone needing surgery.He paid close attention to my explanation of my symptoms and made sure that I understood his diagnosis and proposals. He has excellent communication skills.I also found his office staff and nurse to be personable and efficient. The surgery went well and the recovery has been uneventful.Viva, Dr. Parel!!
