List of Amar Patel's Reviews
Dr Patel has a great reputation as a surgeon. But I feel he is lacking in empathy. That is a huge problem with a lot of Drs. My 86 year old mother underwent a procedure to improve her quality of life. It’s TAVR. During the surgery she had a dissection if the aorta, from the procedure, which caused a stroke. I felt like Dr Patel was very matter of the fact and didn’t have empathy for her. Her quality of life is wise. When we had our follow up appt. and I expressed our frustration it was met by unfeeling ears. Now we only deal with our regular cardiologist and we are out of their hair. That’s how it feels.
So it has been over two years since my son passed away under the care of Dr Patel and his unsupervised team of misfits. So they call it a Doctors practice ( I thought that what they went to school for, to practice on Cadavers not living people) My wife and I lost our beautiful son. He was the most loving, loyal, giving son and husband one could wish for. While on the tennis court he felt pain in his chest and instead of quitting told his partner better win this last set because think I'm having a heart attack. They did win and drove himself to Kennestone Hospital complaining of chest pains. At age 36 he was admitted by Dr Dhaval Patel (No relation to Amar) they found that his left interior descending was almost 100% occluded. Dhavel does not do stents so he consulted Amar Patel to insert a stent procedure on my son Chris. My son was a strong viral man, 5'10 180 LBS. After the stent the medications added weight and other issues. He complained to the Dr's many times they tried different meds but he was never right, although he wouldn't complain he always have that infectious smile to hide his pain. He complained of discomfort many times always, seeing different dr's at Patels office never same ones. They would give him EKG or stress test and that would show nothing. My son although we were extremely close never wanted his wife or myself to worry so he didn't complain. The discomfort went on for sometime and always they would suggest new meds. The last time he was seen by one of Patels staff Dr he asked to have a dye test. The nitwit said they didn't feel it was warranted and sent him on his way. The Autopsy should the stent was 100% occluded and his other arteries were 50-60% blocked. My son died doing what he loved sitting in a tree stand ( he said he always felt closer to God there in the stand. I write this with tears running down my face and thought about doing this for along time. Dr Patel and his staff took our son from his sisters my daughter in-laws the love of her life and my grandsons Dad I HATE You Amar Patel

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
