He was very knowledgeable and impressed me with his studying my problem with intensity. I felt like I could move so much better next day after steroid shot in hip. Who knew? I thought it was my foot giving me problems. I will recommend Dr Carreira highly.

Dr. Carreira was very kind and listened to my concerns. However I waited 50+ minutes to see him on a work day. It was early in the day and they were already running behind on their schedule. I almost had to reschedule my entire apt because I had work commitments.

I sought out Dr Carriera for mild hip pain knowing he specializes in this area. After quick X rays he quickly diagnosed the condition and explained treatment and management options. He has done research on this specific condition so I felt like he was on the cutting edge. I am thankful to have access to such a doctor.

Dr. Carreira was a godsend for my situation. I have had problematic feet throughout my 20s and am a very active person. After meeting with him we decided that the best way forward was to perform a scope of the big toe joint as well as a custom orthotic for postsurgery activity. After 2 years I am back to some of my highest levels of activity with the least amount of pain. Dr. Carreira was very thoughtful and made sure to answer all of my questions prior to the procedure I would highly recommend him as a physician.

May be fine for foot and ankle but... If you have a complicated hip diagnosis andor pain do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Bryan Whitfield. Or Dr. Jon Hyman I’ve now had surgery with both. Carreira is dismissive of questions. And now I know why. I had to have a revision 5 months after Carreira did my hip arthroscopy and he not only missed things he made it worse. Pain was worsening each day. I don’t need a good bedside manner which he doesn’t have but I do need a qualified surgeon. Look up the other 2 doctors if hip arthroscopy is in your future.

This is not the Peachtree Orthopedics of twenty years ago when you had to wait an hour for your appointment It’s a well oiled machine and everyone is so accommodating and friendly even in the world we are living in with Covid. Carreira is direct in a good way efficient and caring. He is a talented and skilled doctor.
