This was my third colonoscope but the first one at this facility. What a horrible experience When I woke from the procedure I was in terrible pain with a blood pressure of 17498 feeling like I was going through natural childbirth again. My BP never goes above 12080. The Doctor told me I could not leave the facility due my condition and I needed to head the the ER. The hospital basically told me I was not suctioned properly after the procedure and there was nothing that could be done. The trip to the ER cost me $1200 out of pocket and $525.00 out of pocket at GI Specialist. GI Specialist took no responsibility at all and refused to help with the ER bills. Save yourself Do Not use these folks for any procedure
I want to thank everyone at what was a very scarey double procedure.DR.Shaw you gave me the best news ever.Thank you.Della wright
Thanks to your wonderful staff...Emily Hayley Beverly Dr. Shah and Jerome. You are all exceptional.
Good luck getting someone on the phone. I have been on hold for 15 minutes and haven’t spoken to anyone.
Ive had an appointment booked for over a month and a half. At 4 pm on the day prior to my appointment they tell me they need to reschedule and that the next available appointment wont be for another month. Absolutely ridiculous.
Booked endoscopy but nobody gave me any instructions for the procedure. Nobody informed me that I need to fast and have someone with me during procedure. So they didn’t do the procedure after I had already arrived at the facility and had to spend my money and time going and coming back I even wasted half day of PTO because of this. Someone called me multiple times to collect insurance deductible upfront but not a single call or communication about more important instructions related to the procedure
Every person from check in to post procedure was kind informative and made me feel very comfortable.
After completing prep for a routine colonoscopy and signing all the papers acknowledging MY responsibility towards THEM regarding COVID...I have to sit in the waiting room elbow to elbow with other patients with no option to social distance. Then they call me back 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment only to tell me they called the wrong person and Im going to have to go back to the crowded lobby for at least another 30 minutes. Oh and by the way not that I would hope it was ever necessary to use it but they do not honor DNR portion of living wills. I didnt know doctors could opt out on patients wishes but apparently this particular office can disregard just about everything important to good patient care.
Very professional staff. They made a difficult process run smoothly. It could use some renovations. Upgrade the seating in the waiting room.
The reason that I am giving this place one star is due to the slow service. It seems that they are extremely understaffed and need more employees. My Mother came in for her colonoscopy and waited an hour after her appointment time before she was even checked in or filed any paperwork. Usually this is understandable but if youve ever had to prepare for a colonoscopy then you know how grueling the preparation is. Prior to the colonoscopy you may not eat and only drink small amounts of water so this hour wait felt more like 6 hours. I do not know if this is the norm for other Gi places but I sincerely hope that it is not. All in all I would not be recommending this Gi office to anyone and would definitely not be bringing my Dad here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
