List of John Gelly's Reviews
Dr Gelly is extremely knowledgeable and interested in his patient's health.
I have been seeing Dr Gelly for over two decades and would recommend him to anyone I know.
My visit was fine. My complaint is he hates follow-up. I just took my annual physical. THis will be the second time that no one calls to go over your lab results. Its as though he(Dr. John A. Gelly) expects you to know what all of the codes/acronyms mean. He prefers email vs a conversation. Not recommended if you practice being informed about your health. When some of your results are over the acceptable range, and no one contacts you. WOW. I go to a doctor because that's what they are taught/trained to do. But when you do not care enough about your patients to have a conversation. Not acceptable.
Dr Gelly is a kind, professional, and thorough physician. I am very pleased with his care.
I have bee a patient or Marine internal medicine for more than 30 years and never had an issue with the provided health care. Dr Gelly has been my doctor all these years and I highly recommend him and the group at Marietta Internal Medicine.
Very comfortable to visit, organized office all the way round and the healthcare providers are excellent at what they do
Dr. Gelly never makes me feel rushed. He listens and gives good advice.
My physician for 15 years. Outstanding doctor. Gives it to you straight. Not going to sugarcoat it.
This guy is the worst so call Quack I've ever seen in my entire life. He treated my friend worst than the dirt under my feet. Clearly he doesn't have a preference for melanated people and makes no Bones about showing it !!!!!!
Considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I feel as though Dr. Gelly may be a good doctor for those he "prefers" to treat. And it seems that being insured, being able to articulate your medical history, & being able to advocate for yourself as a patient, disqualify you from being worthy of his general respect & are not attributes that he cares to have in patients he sees. Dr. Gelly certainly seems to have a "preference" for melanin deficient patients. Never have I had a more uncomfortable, condescending, offensive doctor's visit in my life & this was the 1st time we met. Although it is perfectly normal for a patient/doctor to not be a good fit, it was unprofessional, offensive for a doctor who has been in his profession for as long as he has, to not be able to hide his bias in order to render the service he was paid for. He attempted to sum up my entire medical history in 15 mins, rejected my telling him what my symptoms were & have been for years, choosing to tell me how I felt instead, interrupted me several times, & contradicted every medication & medical determination made by my previous doctors who I had years of experience with, all without seeing 1 medical record, or having any communication with my previous doctors. Needless to say, I won't be back, which appears to have been his objective in the 1st place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
