List of Mohammad Kamran's Reviews
I am very satisfy with my visit to Dr. Kamran. He was very knowledgeable and concerning regarding my health problem. He and his nurse Terrie provided excellent service. Waiting time was about 5 minutes.
I have been a patient for over five years and Dr. Kamran is incredible. He is kind, patient, and caring. He has called me after hours to follow up on my care and his office staff are wonderful, passionate, and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Kamran.
I am completely shocked by some of the reviews I have read here. Having been a patient of Dr. Kamran's for almost ten years I have been in the office many, many times. I have NEVER been treated unkindly by anyone on the staff. Dr. Kamran is truly the most professional, personable, kind and caring doctor I have encountered in the 20+ years since I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Not every medication has worked but he has always been on top of the most current research and been willing to try something new. When I was diagnosed with cancer Dr. Kamran was ready and willing to answer any questions and concerns I might have about my difficulties with cancer treatment. He will not prescribe opioids but will offer suggestions for pain management doctors who could possibly offer better solutions for pain relief. By the way, my oncologist won't prescribe opioids either. It's not a one doctor only decision. I would love to go into permanent remission but if I did I would truly miss the interaction with Dr. Kamran and his staff.
Terrible experience! Not only does he not listen, but he rolls his eyes, downplays your illness, and is generally unpleasant. If you report him to the office manager for rude behavior, he cancels all of your meds. Which is totally unethical. But Wellstar allows him to get away with it so he thinks he has power, and so he will continue to treat people this way. Save yourself the trouble. Go see a real dr. I suggestPiedmont Rheumatology.. Dr Singh. Awesome dr. Listens. Cares. Too bad my insurance won’t cover visits to Peidmont anymore
My wife has seen Dr.Kamran for the past 6-7 years for Lupus SLE. He has made the claim on several occasions that she is the worst lupus patient he’s ever had or seen. She takes plaquenil for her lupus and he has let us know, very passionately, that she absolutely can NOT come off of this medication. We learned from this experience, several years ago, that Dr.Kamran is not here to comfort you in any way. He delivers facts and his professional medical opinion and that’s it. He is cold in his bedside manner and definitely not going to make you feel better about a bad diagnosis. He’s hard to talk to and we’ve always had trouble getting him to truly understand the issues my wife is facing. Which personally, this flabbergasted me since he has claimed she’s the worst case of lupus he’s seen in his days of practicing medicine. I’ll repeat that because he seemed to do the same to us. Reminding us how bad she has it but when we try to explain her pain, it’s like talking to a wall. He’s hearing you but either doesn’t comprehend or doesn’t care. Hard to pin down which one. Simply put, he’s there to deliver info and facts about your health, collect his pay, and go home. However, we don’t see him for his comfort, so we got over it and carried on. I could write pages on the issues we’ve had at this office over the years, but I’ll keep it brief as possible. First issue that comes to mind because it was the most frequent problem, is the fact they always ask how my wife is doing, then basically ignore her response. She’s told them she’s in agony and they offer any help. They suggest yoga, and diet changes. She’s never been prescribed any opiate pain killers from them. NEVER. They give her ibuprofen 500 and tramadol, a very mild pain medicine. This past year they refused the pain meds but could not explain why past “there is an opiate epidemic and we have to cut back on how much we prescribe.” Reminder, worst lupus patient this DR has ever seen, and they have never prescribed her opiates for pain. I called their bluff and they couldn’t give me a reasonable answer whatsoever. I consulted with 4 other physicians and they all agreed said that this was absurd and that someone at this office must be in trouble for writing scripts too freely. So my wife, the patient, who should be put first, was denied the one simple pain medicine and given no explanation past “there’s an opiate epidemic.” The most recent and biggest issue is why I’m here to write this review. It’s February 2019, and my wife receives a call that her plaquenil cannot be filled. She calls the office and is directed to a nurse or PA who berates her like a child and “explains” that she will not be given any more plaquenil (the medicine she has been told she cannot go without) until she sees an ophthalmologist for an eye exam. We’ve been told in the past, she will need a yearly exam but never that it would directly impact her getting the medicine she needed. Let me reiterate, we were NEVER told it was mandatory, required, or necessary to see this other dr for my wife to get her medicine. She goes into withdrawals after a single day without this medication. We asked if they would fill it for now until she could get in, and they denied that request. I ran by our pharmacy and after being rather appalled at the story I tell them, they easily and willfully agree to fill her two weeks’ worth so that she does not go without. So the pharmacist who is new and we barely know, has more understanding about this medicine than the dr we’ve seen for years. Now refusing to fill it because she hasn’t seen an ophthalmologist in the first 5 weeks of this year. Also, let me not forget to include that this was not mentioned AT ALL during her last appointment. They did not tell her she would be denied this medicine if she didn’t see the other dr. We found out when the pharmacy calls and says they can’t fill it. We will obviously be seeking another dr Save your time, money and energy and find a better rheumy.
I see Dr. Kamran at East Cobb Health Park. Dr. Kamran helped diagnose two serious conditions that other doctors had missed for 55 years, which probably saved my life. He's very smart. He's also conservative with medications. Don't expect him to hand out pain pills or to offer a quick fix. But if you want someone who will investigate, follow up, assess, diagnosis, and make a plan to help you over time, he's terrific. If he can't figure it out, he'll refer you to other specialists who can help. I also liked that he was open to providing referrals for alternative ways to manage pain, like aqua PT, compression therapy, etc. Bring him your ideas--he will listen and provide options. I find the staff at East Cobb friendly and helpful.
No matter what is wrong with me he will address it & help me
Rude. Rolls eyes. Downplays illness. If you report him to the office manager, he cancels all of your meds. Which is unethical, but Wellstar lets him get away with it so he thinks he has power, and will continue to treat people this way. I also noticed that some of his positive reviews were left by some people that were employed by him What a shame. Misleading to say the least. Do yourself a favor and find a descent dr.
Insulting, flippant, and cursory. Not interested in getting complete information on complex issues. Condescending and assumed he knew more than every other doctor, while giving me demonstrably wrong information. Did not want to consider the years of work and diagnoses of numerous other doctors. I will never return to this awful doctor.
This office is really busy so don't expect an appointment for a while. But they are helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
