Mohammed Abubaker's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr. A for 8 or 9 yrs. Because of the meds that he prescribed I needed to have lab work monthly. No problem. I was a 60 yr. old mother, grandmother, and college student. I also have Crohn’s Disease and had recently been given new medication. Unbeknownst to me (and obviously to Dr. A. as well) this could cause a positive drug test. So guess what happened when my test came back positive for METH. No one from his office bothered to call me and inform me that there was a problem, so I arrived at my next appointment as usual. Dr. A. breezed in, opened my file, informed me that he couldn’t treat me because of my METH problem, and breezed out. No questions or discussion—even when my pharmacist explained what had happened. I truly believe his ego would not let him admit that he was wrong. A bad trait for anyone and a potentially dangerous one for a doctor.

I also have Crohn’s disease and was given a new medication to try. Unbeknownst to me (and obviously Dr. A) this could show up as positive for METH on a drug test. ( Can you guess where this is headed?!). No one from his office had bothered to to call me to tell me there was a problem, so at my next appointment he abruptly informed me that since I had tested positive for drugs he could no longer treat me and just swept from the room. Even when my pharmacist explained what had happened that made no difference to Dr. Abubaker and his staff. Who, by the way, never could look me in the eye after that.

I had been a patient of Dr. Abubaker for 8 yrs. being treated for arthritis. Because of my medication, he needed to take urine samples. No problem. I’m a 60 yr. old mother, grandmother & college student. I have Crohn’s disease & had just started on a new medication and unbeknownst to me (and Dr. A.) it can show up in a urine sample as positive for METH. (Do you get where I’m going with this?). I was promptly dismissed. No discussion about how this could have happened. He and the staff wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. Worse still, some nurse or tech or whoever, tried to explain that Dr. A could get in a lot of trouble if he still treated me. Forget about trying to figure this out. Forget about helping a good and loyal patient. Mistakes can happen but if they do don’t expect any type of help or compassion. Pretty sure they don’t know the meaning of the word.

The dr is very thorough. Nurses/techs are friendly. The head receptionist is short and rude EVERY TIME. She definitely needs to be replaced.

Nice people. Dr Kohli is serious about his work!!!hard to get in touch with around lunch sometimes, but overall good group of people!!

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Abubaker. I was a little apprehensive due to some of the comments I read, but Dr. Abubaker was absolutely wonderful. He was very patient and answered all of my/my husbands questions. He came very highly recommended and it's clear why.
