(—continued review by Iv) Fast forward to today (nearly 4 months later). The Tmj hasn’t gotten much better so I went to see my regular dentist. They referred me to another practice in Cobb county that specialises in Tmj. I get there today and they tell me that I’ve been seen by their doctor before. I insisted I had never been to their practice. The nurse pulled it up in the system and said “yes you have”. I proceeded to explain to her I had been to a practice in Marietta and had a bad experience so I decided it would be better to be seen by another doctor (I didn’t go into detail). She then proceeded to tell me that the doctor I had seen in Marietta was in-fact the same doctor I was scheduled to see today. Same doctor, different offices. She proceeded to tell me that Dr. David was the main doctor that specialises in Tmj for all of the Atlanta oral and facial surgery locations. I immediately told her I didn’t want to be seen by him and asked if there was another doctor that could see me and she informed me that he was the only one in the practice that specialises in TMJ. I wanted to start crying then and there, I was so angry. She closed the door and asked me why I didn’t want to be seen by him and I briefly explained my situation and told her to please google his name and read the reviews people have been leaving. She said she’s his assistant and hasn’t gotten any complaints. I said then it must be a different doctor you’re working for. She assured me it wasn’t and I insisted that I would not be seen by him. They refunded my copay and I left, again completely flabbergasted that I didn’t realise I would be seeing the same doctor. Before I left I did apologise to the nurse/assistant and told her if I had known it was him I wouldn’t have come and wasted their time. This is two completely separate times of trying to be treated to no avail. I suppose I’ll truly have to just deal with my pain for now. I’d honestly rather be in pain then have to experience something like that ever again. Please. Do. Not. Be. Seen. By. This. Doctor.!!! (If any of his staff reads this, PLEASE have an intervention or something and do not allow him to continue to practice!!) Also my heartfelt and sincere concern goes out to those of you reading this that might have had a similar experience. I’m so sorry and hope this never happens to you again

I am certain that he doesn't read the reviews.The past reviews says it all. We didn't think of looking him up before seeing him. Horrible bedside manners. No personality, and unprofessional leaving us more concerned with our problem than before. I am not sure how he has been working so long. We did not want to see him after the first visit but had to do a followup to be able to get a new referral.

I agree with the other reviews. Dr. David was condescending and not a pleasant person. I would never go back to this office again

Made appt for my daughter’s TMJ issues. One appt and never went back. Rude, condescending, and unprofessional. He even bashed my daughter’s dentist, saying she should have seen this is her X-rays. Needless to say, we were shocked at this entire experience.

I thought I was the only one baffled by Dr. David. 1st visit, panoramic xray also. Referred to therapist also. However, the follow-up visit he didn't even examine me?! Proceeded to have nurse have me come back for a mouthguard fitting and crickets...Haven't heard a word in nearly 4 months?! Contacted the therapist...crickets. What kinda waste of money scheme is really going on?!

As a forensic odontologist, Dr. David provided flawed bite mark evidence that helped send innocent people to prison. Do not use his services.

I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor's office. I made my appointment 2 weeks in advance, took a vacation day off of my job just for this appointment. I was prepared with all my required info when i called and although the customer service was lacking on my initial contact i was not initially concerned. I was called the day prior to my appointment by Alex to confirm my referral and my appointment time. She left a message stating that my appointment was at 10:45 am the following day and she once again needed my referral info that I previously provided (red flag #2) i called back and spoke with alex who then tells me they can't find my referral and they also need my Panoramic xray from my dentist (not told this on my initial contact weeks before) i got all my info together and was headed to my Appointment. I live almost an hour away from this location by the way. 10:19 I received a call asking if i was on my way. Puzzled i said i would be there in 20 minutes for my 10:45 appointment. She then tells me no your appointment was at 9:45. I said no your message stated 10:45 and i will be there in 20 minutes. She says ok see you then. As i am pulling up at 10:33 i get another call from Alex to say she has spoken to the doctor and he will not see me today i must reschedule and the next appointment is two weeks away!! I let her know i cannot make that day and i will call back. I go inside and request to speak with the dr. She goes back and comes back not a minute later and says the dr says he will not see you today! At this point I am livid because not only did i take my vacation day off but i just drove almost an hour and 40 minutes in Alex indicated i would still be seen. I have not even seen Dr. Thomas David yet and I am thoroughly disgusted. He did not even have the courtesy to address me himself. I absolutely would not Recommend this business. Their lack of professionalism and value of their patients time deserves ZERO stars. If you have options, Go somewhere else!!

Dr. Thomas David, is, as others have mentioned, not a very welcoming person in general. I had my wisdom teeth surgery here and thought that he'd be able to help with my tmj. But, he is NOT a TMJ specialist. I've learned from doing my research that this man only says he is a specialist for insurance and money purposes. He referred me to a physical therapist as well, which did not help. If you have tmj, know that therapy will only temporarily soothe your problem, NOT treat or cure it. Along with this, Dr. Thomas David used a panoramic x-ray machine that does not even show enough to determine the cause of my problem. Go somewhere else if you have tmj, even if he does accept your insurance.

Please see another doctor if you have TMJ. This is a waste of time and $. This office is only after a "consult fee." Dr David wanted me to schedule another appointment just to evaluate my mouth guard, which is ridiculous! I will be driving back to midtown to see my old oral surgeon.
