I am a Board Certified Physician and this doctor is caring for my family member. During the visit today with my sister I found him to be entirely unprepared to care for her with the new finding of metastatic disease despite being her Oncologist for the last 4 years. He had not reviewed her films he did not offer her pain control despite new finding of 3 Pathologic fractures. I was appalled. Thank God she is changing physicians. I would encourage others to do the same.

I have seen Dr. Montero for many years. He is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have ever had. He tells you exactly what you need to know and what your participation in your health needs to be. I would recommend him to anyone.

could not have been more wrong in diagnosis and predictions for me...hope he has learned more...good guy...pushes chemo strong...this was in 2013...Id give him 1 1.2 stars

I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Montero for the past 3 years after being diagnosed with colon cancer. I was terrified. He held my hand from the beginning of my treatment of chemo until the end. He assured me comforted me and encouraged me. He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I was getting everything I needed . He is caring kind has fantastic bedside manners and fantastic staff members. He is THE BEST oncologist in this area hands down

I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Monteros since I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2015. He held my hand assured me everything was going to be OK and listened to ALL of my concerns. He did not rush me along as if I was just a number. He genuinely gave me his undivided attention and treated me with dignity and respect. He is VERY concerned about his patients holistic health. You will not find another doctor in this field who cares more than him. He is truly a God send. You will LOVE him.

The staff will tell you that he is affiliated with Gwinnett Medical Center but they dont tell you that means that GWC will be charging you to see him. Their charge was a third of the already expensive bill.

In my opinion if I had the correct diagnosis i would have spent 3 years less in treatment. I had to find a different oncologist and travel out of state to fix his mess. I am alive no thanks to Dr Montero. There are plenty of other choices for an oncologist find someone else Cancer is the biggest fight of your life.
