List of Piedmont Physicians Endocrinology At Oak Hill's Reviews
The wait time at this facility is always ridiculous. I don't feel like they place any value on the patients at all, just the money that they make off of their patients. The front desk woman is extremely rude and will never answer any questions with any answer other than, "that is our policy; if you don't like it, take it up with the doctor." I wish that there was another endocrinology option south of Atlanta. I would have left years ago. All 13 years that I have used this practice, nothing has changed.
2nd time going today for my daughter and just like the 1st time, the service was great. The front desk the lab techs and the doctors were outstanding. It's quite a drive for me coming from riverdale but I will continue to make that drive as long as the great service is provided. Dr. ortiz was pleasant.
Had a great visit from check in to check out ,everyone was very nice and the doctor listen to everything I had to say about what was going on like I was her only patient !
I like Dr. Moorthy, however, her staff is the worst I have dealt with. I received a prescription change my last visit but my insurance denied it without further info from my doctor. The pharmacy has called and I have called several times with NO response from this office .The only time I was able to speak to a person they assured me I would get a call from the doctor ,nothing .Now my glucose is going up due to the change and I can't speak to anyone or get a response. I'm paying for a specialist that I can't speak with . I will drive to the next town just so I don't have to deal with such an incompetent staff.
Dr. Ortiz is absolutely amazing and great bedside manner! Nancy is amazing as well and goes above and beyond to help! The nurse practitioner Karen I do NOT recommend at all. I have been in and out of the hospital with renal disease. So I missed a appointment for my daughter one afternoon and called to reschedule without thinking I told them I could bring her in the next morning. I had completely forgot I had to go to court with my son that was very important. I called to cancel and set another date but the office was not open at the appointment time 8am ish possibly 8:30. They open at 9.. before I could call back and make a appointment DEFACS was at my door because Karen called and said I wouldn’t take my daughter to the doctor and that I browbeat my kid. My daughter was livid as was I. The social worker herself told me she would find a new doctor. She was there 2 weeks prior to the canceled appointment for blood work. I would’ve gave it a 1 star but Dr.Ortiz is well worth seeing. At first we thought it was possible protocol but saying I was browbeating my daughter is not protocol and I truly felt it was malicious, Only because I didn’t agree with Karen the last time I was there. BEWARE
I have always been treated professionally and really made to feel welcome by the staff. Yes, you have to wait but no more than any other doctors office. I see Karen Secor and she has always been kind and she discusses everything with me. Karen and Dr. Rene both care about their patients and what is happening with them. I was new to Georgia and I am so glad I found them.
I've similar frustration similar to other people reported in reviews. My appointment cancelled abruptly and there is no update in patient portal and not even phone call about rescheduling appointment. And other frustration no way to setup appointment online patient portal. I've called multiple times and no one picks up phone. I called 10 times and only got through once and was immediately put on hold for 15 minutes and had to hang up and resume work. And also doctor keeps changing regularly.
Didn’t even make it to the physician herself because the office is run like a circus. Ive called 15-20 times and only gotten through 3 times. Each time being told my gp hadnt faxed a referral(which they did, she got a confirmation reciept from the fax whilw on the phone with me after attempt number one). After having so much frustration I called my gp and told them the scenario and they agreed to try and call and schedule an appt for me. So she called 10 times and only got theu once and was immediately put on hold for 15 minutes and had to hang up and resume work. If this is any hint as to what being in the office is like, I count my blessings at your repellent administraton. I can only imagine that office is pandemonium, especially since you close for 2 hours in the afternoon.
I thought my worst experience with a medical professional was with the VA, well this place beat that. The doctor was abrasive and very short. She questioned me like I was trying to attain what I needed illegally, the staff did the same when I was trying to become a new patient. This was after my primary care doctor referred me to this place.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of this office. It may be time to find another office that cares about their patients. Apparently my time isn’t as valuable as their time. So frustrating.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
