Piedmont Physicians Urology Specialists - Newnan's Online Review Report Card

I hate writing this because I really liked Dr. Chen , but I'm hoping in doing so maybe something will change since I see other reviews with this pattern.Dr. Chen was great. Sincerely one of the easiest appointments I've ever had. He took his time speaking with me about my issues and planning for a future surgery. I didn't feel rushed, was a relaxed appointment and he didn't speak over my head. Literally not a bad thing to say about Dr. Chen.However....his assistant\support staff. Several weeks after my initial appointment, I called back after taking some time to think about the two treatment options we spoke of to let them know what I wanted to pursue. I called and left a message with my information and what I wanted to do....never heard back. Two weeks or so go by and I get notification that my Rx was ready at my pharmacy. So much time had gone by and the office never called me to acknowledge my call that I was confused what the pharmacy had filled.Flash forward 3-4 months later, I called back and spoke with Dr. Chen's assistant. I expressed to her that I didn't like some of the side effects I was experiencing from my current treatment and I'd like to try option #2 that we spoke about at my original appointment. She said she would speak with Dr. Chen and get back with me. This was almost a month ago now and there has not been a return call. Because of this, I've called a different Dr. for treatment.I really liked Dr. Chen and will go back to him for my surgery, but the fact that I expressed to his assistant that I was having problems with side effects from treatment and no one has ever called me back or followed up is beyond UNACCEPTABLE. Hopefully no one ever makes the same call, ends up waiting for a call back and continues treatment in spite of side effects...someone could truly get hurt.

I requested to see Dr. Chen based on the previous reviews and the reviews of him are right on. Awesome Dr. with excellent communications and patient relations. See Dr. Chen. You will be very pleased with him.

My physician referred me to them in November, 2020. They called me in February, 2021. By then I had visited Emory in Atlanta twice.

I was seen in the ER at piedmont Newnan Thursday night. I was given a referral to piedmont urology. I called first thing Friday because the ER team recommended I get this seen about immediately. I left a message about an hour later I received a call back about 10:30 they asked me my name asked me how I would be paying and I told them cash and ask me my pain level. They proceeded to tell me they had to get with the on call doctor to discuss the situation. I guess they could never reach the on call doctor Friday. I just received a call back at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday March 10th to tell me what day my appointment would be to see a doctor.this befuddles me considering I was told it is a situation that needed to be handled immediately and call the urologist as soon as possible.

Dr. Chen gives great attention to detail and is kind to his patient. He truly cares about causing little to no pain. I was impressed by his skill. He listened to me and gave great overall care. I would go back to him again.

Wow, I am amazed by the way the staff in this office go about their business in this office. They don’t return messages left(especially Dr. Jadick’s staff). You are always left outside the loop about your diagnosis. Dealing with a patient with panic attacks? be careful!!!!!

Can’t tell you about the doctor because we never got to see one. This office is disorganized. Our appt was at 1:00pm. We got there early as instructed and were told our appt was at 10:30. Our appt confirmation text even said 1:00pm and we confirmed with a “YES”. We showed them this and they insisted we had changed our appt for 10:30 that morning which was NEVER done. They changed our appt time without giving us notification. We will NOT be going back! The office workers were unapologetic accusing us that it was our fault! POOR customer service!!!

The office staff is horrible. They wanted me to pay for the 20% before a bill ever arrived or had gone through my insurance. They canceled my appointments and would sporadically call and see if I could come the next because I of course have no life. They did one test then I was scheduled for another in a week. After the UDS I complained to the PA that I was in a great deal of pain. She told me there was nothing she could do about. I knew I had a UTI and needed antibiotics but she was unyielding. I came back for 2nd test, gave urine sample, and was told I had a UTI and they couldn’t do test. So I was charged a second copay. A week later I went back for test and was told I needed to see a specialist. Of course they refer you to Piedmont physicians which I said I’d rather not use.So I did my own research and found a specialist in Fayetteville which makes way more sense than the one he recommended in Stockbridge. Lastly I received a text from my pharmacy saying I had a prescription for Bactrim. I was never told why so I called and asked yesterday morning and have yet to receive a phone call back as to why I need it. I do not recommend these doctors to anyone. I have had nothing but bad experiences.They are more concerned with money than health. This is a terrible way to treat people. When the doctor assessed my tests he said he could do the procedure but he was “just ok” at doing it. It was like the commercial. Just OK? Why would I allow him to do anything after that. Research is key in finding a good doctor. Don’t settle. It’s your life and your body.

only rating this high for dr chen and dr chen only. he is INCREDIBLE the whole time i was the hospital other workers were saying he is their favorite and if they ever had problems they would go to him. he truly cares about his patients and is very kind.

Very disappointed to say the least. I had been a patient of Dr. Mann's for many years and had been seen by him many times only to recently be told while trying to make an appointment that if I hadn't been seen the last three years I would be considered a new patient. OK, made an appt. for 2-1/2 weeks later only to be called by his rude office staff to be told within a few days that they were no longer seeing any new patients. Atrocious way to run a business or practice. I have never dealt with such a horrible office staff as this.
