Richard Hightower's Online Review Report Card

Went in early October and he seemed like a nice enough guy. Of course I waited 30 minutes past my appointment before I was seen, but that's how most offices go. Went in for quad pain and was expecting imaging or assessment. My leg was not even looked at. He talked to me about a few other concerns I had and sent me down the hall to get labs done and make an appointment with physical therapy. I had already told him that I have full function over the limb but only had pain when lifting weights. I wanted to rule out a tear. Physical therapy called me over the next few days and told me they don't do imaging and that it should have been done in the primary setting. They agreed with me that if I had full mobility and just wanted to rule out a tear, I did not need therapy, I needed imaging. I contacted Dr. Hightower's nurse (multiple times) asking for a callback and did not get one. Worst of all, they billed my visit as a "consultation" for$270 rather than for a visit w/$20 co pay.

Definitely wouldn't recommend. He made a diagnosis for me without really trying to understand my issue. I have seen another physician for my issue and it was exactly as I thought not what he diagnosed. Also his diagnosis made the situation worse. I was prescribed to take a medication every day and took it every day for months but the medication is only supposed to be taken for a few weeks.

My 84 year old mother has been in severe pain here in the hospital and the nurse call this doctor’s answering service four hours ago and he has yet to call us. I gave him one star only because it would not allow me to proceed with zero stars.

Every visit they want a urine test but nurse won't tell you why even if you ask. I found out from labcorp that it was for illegal drugs. They had no reason for that and got mad when I refused. They are rude and only care about money and not the patient.

I don't know what's up with all of these negative reviews. Went in today for a first visit with Dr Hightower and he was friendly and thorough. I dig him!

I have been a patient of Doctor Hightower for a number of years as with all family practitioners there are times he is extremely busy! However I cannot say he does not take good care of me! I do ask a lot of questions! The last time I went to see him they were in the process of moving their office and in the midst of a pandemic! It’s the first time I’ve went to see him that I’m not sure he actually saw me! In fairness to him I really didn’t want to be there at all with everything that was going on with the pandemic! I have faith in his abilities and he is a good doctor!

I moved across the state. I Still travel to Pooler GA to see My trusted Doctor. Thank you Dr Hightower.

the staff here is rude and there is no follow up - they send you for a test, no call back, then when you have to call and question the results then you deal with nasty staff then you are told the doctor has 7-10 days to respond. if its important enough to have the test then there should be urgency to give you the results

This Dr ripped me off no good.

Because I go to dr office I can’t get my meds cause it’s after hours that we’re to be called in the first place
