I was referred to this Doctor Mark Blankenship because I thought I was having a hemorrhoid problem well it turned out to be a super painful fissure a tear in the colon. He did the exam and it hurt so much that it made me scream and cry and he had the nerve to tell me that it wasnt necessary for me to scream and that he would not exam me any longer if I didnt stop crying. I asked to be numb but he said he didnt do that. This doctor needs to take a psychology class because he has no bed side manners or compassion in dealing with his patients. He is the worst doctor I have ever been to in my 57 years. Totally unprofessional and his appearance is very unkept. I have worked in the past for Northern Virginia Surgical Specialists Surgeons specializing in Gallbladders Hernias Fissures Skin Tags etc.. This group of Surgeons have never treated a patient the way he treated me. My husband called his practice and spoke to a nurse to see if they could prescribe me some pain medication and they didnt even return his call. Dont waste your money on this so called doctor

Dr. Blankenship is by far the best medical professional I have ever been around He’s down to earth and keeps your best interests in mind. At the age of 27 I never thought I would go through a hemorrhoidectomy surgery yet here I am. I highly recommend Dr. Blankenship

Awesome Doctor Knowledgeable great bedside manner and caring. Recommend him over ANY one else. Colon resection without colostomy. NO complications.

Dr. B Is the only doctor I would recommend to anyone having trouble with digestive tract disorders colon or rectal problems or inflammation of the stomach or intestines.. He is knowledgeable in most areas of surgery having worked in Candler and St Josephs ERs. He has performed nine successful surgeries on me because I had colorectal cancer. .I did have to have a colostomy. I did not have to have any chemo or radiation...I will be 8 years cancer free Jan. 5th 2018..BEST BUTTIES
