Ravi Chander's Online Review Report Card

Too long of a wait time. I have been going here for the past 4 years. I have to say this will be my last. I am switching neurologist despite the fact that I actually like Dr. Chandra. Wait time is just too much. Every time I go inside the checkup room, I feel like I end up waiting for 40-45 mimutes. I just waited for about an hour for my last appointment. Got here at 150 pm, checked in with the nurse at 2 and did not see the anyone until 3. I finally came out of the door and left because I had an appointment at 330 I needed to get to. I get migraines from just being in the checkup room that smells like cleaning solution. This is just not professional.

Saw Dr. Chander 1 yr ago after a referral from my gyno for migraines, which he guessed were hormonal migraines. Had the first appointment at 8:30am with Dr. Chander, got there at 8am was the only patient in the office, waited in the waiting room for over an hour, finally called back by the nurse/receptionist (she was SUPER nice the whole visit). She took my vitals & told me to wait for the doctor. At 9:40 she came in and asked me if he had been in my room yet to which i responded “‘no.” She says “okay let me let him know you’re waiting again.” Finally shortly after 10am he came in the room (reminder: my appt was at 8:15 and I was there early as requested and no other patients were in the office), asked me very minimal questions, while i was answering his questions, he ANSWERED A PHONE CALL in the middle of my visit, stepped out and left my room door wide open while he spoke to someone for a couple of mins. Could tell this was not a professional call. Came back in, didn’t let me finish answering the question before prescribing me a high Blood Pressure medication (I have low/normal BP) to take at night which bottomed out my BP & made me feel worse. He did all of this within 5-7 minutes of walking into the room. He ordered an MRI which I completed & asked me to come back in 3 months for follow up. That was the end of the visit. I called the office to tell the nurse the medication wasn’t working after 3 weeks and asked for something for the migraines when I start feeling symptoms as I often miss work due to auras and the pain, she said she’d get with the doctor and get something ordered & they would see me at my 3 month appt to look into the preventative BP medication he prescribed. Never got anything for the symptoms from him, after an office visit and a phone request…never went back to that office. WORST experience in a medical office I’ve ever had. I’m not generally one to complain as I work In healthcare as well and I understand the burnout we all feel but my gynecologist is actually the one who has since prescribed me a prescription to take at the onset of symptoms which has eliminated my last 8/10 migraines. I will not be making another appt at this office. & I shared my thoughts with my gyno about his first choice of neurologist to save other people the headache (pun intended)

Found out he refused to see a friend because she didn't get the covid vaccine. Apparently he is getting away with violating what the Tennessee State Legislator says. I wouldn't recommend anyone like ever step foot in his office. He will let you die over that poison vaccine. He should lose his medical license.

I have been seeing Dr. Chander for almost 10 years. He is always on the cutting edge with new medicines and studies. I would recommend him to anyone who had terrible migraines like I did. He has truly helped improve my quality of life.

Wont see you if you haven t had your vaccine, doesn't take the oath of care seriously I guess

Very smart doctor. However, when I was in between jobs he wouldn’t work with me on getting samples of my meds. Then, he got mad because I wanted to switch from an expensive med to one that I could afford. (Without insurance, my meds were $2400) I changed doctors and then two yrs later I get a bill out of nowhere for $400 for almost every appointment that I had there, even though I carried insurance at every appointment. A bogus bill full of copay charges that were never asked for at any appointment over the past 5-6 years. How does any doctors office let that slide by?

Dr Chander is a great doctor. He is very thorough and always on the cutting edge of new medicines. Dr Chander has helped me so much with my migraines, and has truly improved my quality of life.

Dr. Ravi Chander. He has a very courteous staff no long waiting time. He listens to what you have to say he is very thorough, and knowledgeable in his practice, and how he expedites his plans of treatment for your symptoms, and does discuss and go over these plans with you, and significant others. I have been a patient of his for several months now, and I’m thankful I found him because I have had excellent results with a fast diagnosis of my symptoms. I have CIDP. I would most definitely recommend him. The only fault I have is he does no disability paperwork, but he does work with your primary care doctor so the paperwork does get done.

Dr. Chander was very thorough and took his time with a full examination. I found him to be very knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Chander.

Starting with the lobby: poor impression. Also, because there is no window for privacy when they are on the phone...apparently they have to BLAST THE TV in the lobby. NOT so great for us headache patients. Next issue is the Doctor's manners or I should say lack thereof. He is very abrupt and borders on rude. Made me feel like I was routine when I feel miserable.
